but about two weeks ago we were galloping across this field and she just suddenly stopped.. i ended up going flying & landed on my head and was in hospital for it! ive been back once and was only trotting on a lead rein but now its really got my confidence down & my instructor was telling me how me and Cassy had such a good partnership but now im scared to do anything but i really want to get back to how i used to be and start jumping high. what do u think i should do?ride a different pony or?xx
hi. im sorry to hear about your dilema with Cassy. Being nervous is a perfectly normal response after a fall especially if you havent been riding long. my advice to you would be to try and stick it out with Cassy because you will be so proud of yourself when you overcome you issues with her. If she was unsuitable for you your instructor wouldnt be suggesting you got back on her. cont....
cont... genrally i think you need to learn to enjoy what you do again if you have only fallen once like that in 10months you are doing very very well! if your enjoyment of riding is being reduced by riding cassy then it might be time for a change but give her and yourself time to rebuild the bond you had and you will be glad you stuck at it! we all fall off and the most difficult bit is getting back on and getting back to feeling happy there but you can do it. gd luck. let me know how it goes!

Thanks we have a good relationship ans level of trust... weve been together so long that very little surprises me now and he will try his hardest to get anything new right for me and i repect that! not sure how far we will go but my aspirations lie in having fun and doing well for us and that might mean just being at local level and hopefully being placed but whatever happens he is a superstar in my eyes and nothing will change that! thanks for the comments xx

Well i wont complain it means more flashy. Sometimes he just seems like a big fluffy cuddle white huggable cutie you just want to sqeeze to death. Especialy if he gets to jump he realy turns alive its so beautifull to watch him light up when he notices an oncomming fence.

Nothing more beautifull than a horse beeing a happy horse. Thats what i say anyways. And he does become so happy going over fences i think hes very lucky to have you and vice versa.

Aww i love flash he is wonderful. As for fudge, he is doing great for a horse that is only learning too jump, he will be great once he learns the ropes, and having flash as a teacher im sure he will be great.
