The sound of EMD units powering up!...Wow!...yes these were the "real" days of railroading i remember bein a kid near the Southern Pacific & watching B30-7 Ge units powering up the sound was unbeatable not 2 mention the Gp35's & Gp40's ohhhh dnt get me started....haha!

@CSX2665 hell yes I agree with you I grew up in that generation of railroading these new GEVOs bore me I had MKT and MoPac and ATSF in my hometown now its all UP and KCS and KCS is the only one that interest me anymore here now

I was riding my bike when I saw these scenes, took pics with my parents camera that had those flash bulbs on top, GEEZ, modern tech back then but the Chessie lives on in my videos! 1987 to 1997, pure enjoyment.

No Chessie Dash 9s. The last GEs that Chessie had were B30-7s.

The formation of CSX predated the introduction of the Dash 9s. It would be neat if CSX retro-painted some GEVOs or SD70s in predecessor roads. I'd love to see a GEVO in WM black and dulux, or even circus colors.
