It is a great instrumental by the band. But it's always so much more powerful live when Phil uses those immense splash cymbals that didn't seem to be used on the record.
I learned to play the solo one handed in case I could ever be bothered to learn the chords on the left hand. Turns out I could neither be bothered to go back and refine the solo, nor learn the left hand parts.
This was one of these videos which was 'rushed to Youtube'. Looking back at it now my technique is awful, there's a lot of wrong notes in the runs, and also strangely I saw fit to 'drop' the section around the 1.11 mark. Odd if I do say so myself.
Davie, Ive been a keyboardist off and on for almost 20 years and I can honestly say your technique isnt all that bad. Your fingering isnt always textbook, but if you are like me (small hands) you have to break some rules and do what works from time to time. Nice job over all!
Pretty good actually. Sure, various notes are not in place, but it's close enough for me to think you'll nail it pretty soon. I once started learning this, but lost ambition quickly. ;-)
this is crazy good.

Nice, well done, but don't you mean 'Crash' cymbals ;-)

I do mean crash cymbals. You're right. But then I'm just an amateur guita... I mean keyboard player!

Good, but why don't you use the left hand?

Excellent Davie, and I like the snapping bit with your fingers :) Keep on posting more Genesis.

That snapping part *cringes*. I didn't realise I did that when I was recording it!
