Why was it that the real artists who actually sang these songs did not get the credit for the music?? I would have still purchased the album simply because the music was good enough to be released on its own without the whole scandal. I think the Milli Vanilli was blown out of portion. The international and US media said crap when Lipps, Inc hit #1 in 1980 with 'funkytown' and the band was just computers and a former Miss Black USA Beauty Winner singing the vocals.

Should Rob and Fab have lost their awards and grammys imo 'yes.' However they were unfairly were scapegoats and this 'game' that Milli Vanilli is famous for is now reguarly used in the pop music industry.

This original mix of the song isn't quite as good as the version that came out as a single. The single mix is much better and more punched-up and danceable. Shows how much Frank Farian and his people had a real gift for turning any song into a catchy dance track. Diane Warren's best songs were the ones she gave to Frank Farian's acts like this, Try 'N' B's "Tell Me Where It Hurts", and No Mercy's "When I Die", which were both originally recorded by Milli Vanilli for their second album.
