  • I still dont have a clue how to vocal belt.

  • I love how he's just strolling around like he can do this in his sleep. Great singer!

  • Holy Cr*p...where's the " I f*ckin LOVE this" button?????

  • @Kashmir0109 but it does'nt compare with Chris.

  • One of the sexiest men alive. EVER. I know I should perhaps leave a more music-oriented comment, but I can't think properly when Chris Cornell is on the screen! Brilliant song and I actually like the video too, I know a lot of people didn't...

  • @sdiosdio too bad he has a tiny wang

  • Layne Staley and Chris Cornell are the best of all time when it comes to vocals there is no one even close to them.

  • @12889414 freddie mercury???

  • @sakowihe75 come on man,are you kidding.

  • @12889414 I checked out your channel you have good taste in music,so this was a joke right?

  • @12889414 he had more range than cornell and his voice was just as angelic as layne's.

  • @sakowihe75 I'm sure your nice guy I don't want to argue,so we will just let it go. Take care dude.

  • @12889414 awww you took the fun out of it. k peace bro

  • @sakowihe75 so you were joking. take care man.

  • chris cornel voca l wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • 4 people need "Gibbs slaps" to the back of their heads for the dislikes.........just sayin'

  • 2007

  • @phish100123 Really? 1997 , This is like 2000 something, he was with soundgarden in the 90's

  • @alejandra4215 soundgarden broke up in April of 97, so this could be late 97

  • @ThePROproject It's 2007.

  • DR HOUSE

  • Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell, Dave Grohl, Flea, Frusciante. Ultimate rock dream team IMO. That would be insane.

  • amazing song/voice!!

  • what year was this?

  • @Bushleaguer28 I estimate around 1997

  • 2007

  • 2007

  • @phish100123 Wrong, it's 2007.

  • Genius! got to watch Soundgarden in Manchester in 1992 they were awesome.

  • Fuckin trolls.

  • Four people hate this and love Justin Beaver

  • @lucaskobain Fuck off with that Justin Beiber bullshit.

  • @DethByMyIbanezAxe this is a video about rock and roll dont even bring his name up its a wast of space here

  • such an amazing voice he has

  • As if I had the time - and I don't - I find myself watching this every few days. I don't know what it is: Perhaps it's a longing for rock as it was until the early to mid-90s. I'm a child of the 60s and 70s, and the 80s, for the most part, was a lost decade. The bands that emerged in the early 90s resurrected - for me - a sound I'd been longing for. Now, on the verge of 2011, I wonder...are we just left with memories?

  • Good song, creowd very quiet.....did someone die????

  • @williamslake73 Chris' voice has made them speechless.

  • Chills.

  • Yup. That was good.

  • Is that the guy from Meshuggah? Looks like him back there on guitar or base...just got a glimpse...

  • this song rocks, but this version is shit. Chris sounds like shit. like actual shit, i poop better things than chris's voice on this

  • @thecatspyjamasjay lets see you pipe it out like chris over two or three decades, over 300 shows a year...actually he does pretty good considering its live asshole....

  • @thetestfacility actually it sounds pretty bad compared to the other live versions. he's a good singer, just not in this video...asshole. and the number of shows he played over the years should only make him better. He probably sucked in this video for a reason, like not playing with his band. notice how in my original i said "on this" at the end. I'm not an asshole, this version just sucked. Eat my dick dude.

  • @thecatspyjamasjay Why would you want another guy to eat your dick? Reassess your insult.

  • @thecatspyjamasjay - You CAN NOT Contest God( Cornell) !!!!!

  • @mateus5678 normally i wouldnt, because i love soundgarden, but anyone who says this sounds good is blinded by the love of their prohet Chris Cornell. Open your ears, this version sucks. I love soundgarden, but there is no denying this is a terrible version of the song.

  • Wow , what a song !!!

  • @giamozz I agree! And what a voice! One of the best songs of the 90s, hands down.

  • I think he fuckin rocked it.. I wish i was right there ..looked like a great show.

  • I think those guys are MSN employees and this is a retarded event chris was paid to perform at

  • @oceanborn05 chris looks like he doesn't even want to be there :s

  • What a voice...love this.

  • they skipped the prechorus before the last chorus :(

  • Additional generic crowd comment.

  • WTF is with those people?!? BURDEN IN MY HAND makes my hair stand up on my arms... the crowd should fucking burst, feel the emotion not just standing there like watching a movie or somethin'.

  • great song.......Chris Cornell is a great singer!

  • chris cornell is an amazing singer. would love to see soundgarden or audioslave in concert. please tour australia chris

    shane

  • chris cornell is an amazing singe.would love to see soundgarden or audioslave in concert. please tour australia chris

    shane

  • @WitchoCracko Yeah my new favorite singer is autotune he rocks the shit! Add some baggy pants and grab balls and you got a class act multiplatinum artist! sarcasm ofcourse

  • what a dead crowd?

  • You can see some sort of strange eye-twitching going on with Chris around 1:33 or so. Hope he's not straining himself THAT much, lol.

  • brutal!!

  • too much delay on vox for me. still bad f'n ass though

  • goosebumps eveytime.......this is music....

  • thumbs up if you think this REAL/AWESOME music is waaaaaaay better than that bieber shit !

  • i will always imagine a dude running alone with his guitar in the desert when i hear this song LOL. Great song and great video hehe :D

  • pure motherfuckin soul in his voice

  • CC's vocal strength from the low to the high notes is amazing, Axel Rose never had that. Whatever CC sings you can always feel his soul coming through. In my opinion Rose didn't have that either. Most of the time he was just singing high and loud! I know alot of people liked him, but come on, he could NEVER touch Chris Cornell's artistic level, and not just in singing!

  • @jalindberg11 By the way: axel sings in head voice all the time: that's super-easy.

  • @jalindberg11 but to axel roses credit he did say that chris has the voice of a god, so i guess he knew himself that chris was superior but hey theres always someone better and theres no denying that axel rose was indeed a great musician.

  • @jalindberg11 you don't have any idea about how axl's artistic level is deep. listen chinese democracy again and again, focused. and you'll see in every word, every note fit there perfectly. cornell is a great artist too. i love the way he writes dadaist stuff.

  • @jalindberg11 also axl sings much lower than cornell can do. hello?

  • @jalindberg11 i don't understand why your referencing Axel Rose....there is no compassion...

  • @belgianbella1 I was not referencing Axel Rose. I was responding to a previous comment made about Axel vs CC. Axel Rose has many fans that love him, and I'm not saying he can't sing. Personally I feel Chris's voice is one of his best instruments. His 4 octave singing range, and the strength of his voice throughout, is something that even a lot of very successful singers don't have going for them. Then there's his songwriting. What a poet!

  • @jalindberg11 **comparison

  • @jalindberg11 Staley's voice owned Cornell's, no fuckin question

  • the intro to this song is awesome. It really showcases MR. Cornells lyric range.

  • Chris butta via stì musicisti e ritorna a suonare con Kim, Matt e Ben .....

RIVOGLIO I SOUNGARDEEEEENNNNN ... ti pregoooo!!!!

  • @miracledrug73 D'accordo!

  • I just think it's incredible how ANYONE can start a song on the note that Cornell just did. That's a REAL vocalist.

  • Hey, there's my hero!

  • Amazing how his voice is almost identical on the album track, shows just how incredible Chris Cornell is, no production crap needed.

He is an idol that guy, one of the greatest ever.

  • Watched this again after sooo many times, have commented before too. Another song from this show amazingly and perfectly sung (sigh) and played; show should have been recorded and sold. Can't think of anything that could have made it more incredible. Oh wait.....that was it, shirts are so annoying when Chris sings. Better forget them in the future!

  • OMG.

  • great voice mate !

  • Gave me chills! He's still got it!

  • chriss tha man

  • Ouch. At least Chris sounds good.

  • One of mt super favs, sung so fantastically. All from this show sound incredible. Wish i could have been there. I can't believe the audience isn't going totally crazy!

  • Hey ! I like the voice he got now!! I'm from is prime time, i back in the late 80's and 90's area,. Altough you are still a great singer and a great influence for people!! Thanks Chris!!

  • This is the best grunge singer ever!!!Chris Cornell!!!!

  • SOUNDGARDEN AUDIOSLAVE i dont judge they both rock!

  • Arcane2122 people get on here to watch videos and listen to good music. You don't know music if you get on here to criticize people you dumb bitch.

  • @hogwillie you're a fucking dousche bag and chris cornell would tell you to fuck off. Eddie Vedder is just as gifted as an artist and inspires people just as much as he does. You are a pathetic human being who has no idea what music is and I hope you say something back so I can make you look like a fucking retard.

  • one of the best voices in the world! chris cornell rocks...cant wait for soundgarden concert!!!

  • I <3 this man!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why does everyone think this is a good place to mouth off? Just enjoy the performance of some gifted people and let everything else go

  • hi hog willie, what a shitty taste in music you got, i can only assume your of low mental intelligence and perhaps your hick father inserted his cock into your ass throughout your childhood

  • Total Rock God!!! Anybody who thinks Eddie Vedder even belongs on stage with this guy is a fuckin asshole.

  • @hogwillie you do know they were in a band together don't you? I do like Soundgarden better than Pearl Jam though.

  • AMAZING

  • just wanted to say thanks for posting these msn bits on here.

This is a great performance. I've been a fan for a long time, but never had the chance to hear Chris or any of the bands in a venue. This is a treat.

  • this is like my top favorite and if your lucky enuff to see it live it would be your number 1

  • phenomenal performance

  • :-" :-" ... I shot my love today would you cry for me ....

I lost my head again would you lie for me ...

    love u ppl :)

  • This is my absolute song. I saw him live once and was disappointed he didn't play it. This is the second time I've heard a live performance of it. They are very different, the live and studio versions. I believe I get a different sort of enjoyment out of both. :O

  • Close your eyes and bow your head I need a little sympathy Cause fear is strong and love's for everyone Who isn't me So kill your health and kill yourself And kill everything you love And if you live you can fall to pieces And suffer with my ghost Just a burden in my hand Just an anchor on my heart Just a tumor in my head And I'm in the dark
  • @pumavellanado thats what im sayin man atleast somebody gets it

  • chris o chris how i long for ur angelic voice to caress me

  • 0:55 Hey, what happened to the Doc Martens? :)

  • They are reunited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good to hear this; heard he was doing some rap (spoken word with drums) shit which scared me to death.

  • man.. he's just gorgeous... ;) fantastic performance!

  • What a machine...fucking great

  • o sorry lol your right. i get them mixed up. ok i have no reason to hate audio slave :)

  • great singer i just hate that haileys comet song he has with audio slave

  • Sure you aren't thinking of Shinedown? That isn't Audioslave.

  • "love is for everyone, who isn't me"

  • thanks for that comment, please leave more qoutes on other videos

  • Awesome voice.

  • sounds amazing...he's still got that killer voice.......I hope he does another song for a future James Bond film (or other films)

Audioslave rocks.....any news of a Soundgarden reunion though?

  • no he said he doesn't want to reform because money is what motivates those kinda things

  • He is too sexy and too talented to be real.

  • That is so excellent!!!!

  • Really Great ! i love this song. my favourite of Sondgarden

  • very knowledgeable fans there live :/

if i had heard that opening riff i would have screamed my lungs out but listen to that audience ...completely dead, some of them(turn of stomach) doing that nightclub palm pump...

    GODDAMMIT!!!

Why weren't ppl like us there who have practically bred with the Soundgarden catalogue!!!

    no justice:(

  • hahaha you're right......for soundgarden songs i would smoke shit load of weed and just bang my head and swing loose

  • @ghost2897 they cuz the noise of screaching out:) makes for better vidio i think.

  • I was four when this song came out, but I agree with you. How do you not know this song. I could see an obscurity like Birth Ritual, Switch Opens, or something like that.

  • @Eifler121

I dont like this crowd for two reasons-

    1- Just Sheer Ignorance

2- Cornell has been having a lot of problem with his vocals for some years and that being one of the reasons why he had been puttin' off an SG reunion, among others.

But here HE NAILED IT! I mean ok it wasn't the Cornell from 91 doing Ugly Truth but still his shit is tough to sing... I mean Axl in his prime or Myles Kennedy have that range , that i know off

  • @ghost2897 how is this directed towards me?

  • @ghost2897 mate, axel rose never had or will ever have the vocal range/skill that CC has. wake the fuck up you dopey prick.

  • @steenky01

Don't be hating one me brother, I'm like the biggest Cornell fan, but Rose had some excellent pipes too and Cornell's acknowledged that

Soundgarden and Guns N' Roses go WAAAAAY back!

  • @ghost2897 I was up front when I saw this band and I kept screamind at cornell play burden....play burden.....then at the end he looked at his band and was like lets do burden....best thing to ever happen

  • @beAVENeasy

    You lucky dog!!!!

  • @ghost2897 i cant agree with you more

  • @ghost2897 your attitude is kind of wrong..why would you want only SG fans to enjoy this music live?Isn't the greatness of Chris's music supposed to be shared among all kinds of people?I love the whole 90s pop music era with the cheesy boybands, but I love Chris cornell's music even more.Everyone can like more than one genre of music.I'm new to Chris cornell's music, I hope more people out there would discover his music, but I won't discriminate club songs lovers from liking him.I am one myself..

  • @MissusFingerBottom

I get your side, but I can't really downplay my reflex response being a SG and Cornell fan and seeing the way the fans here reacted.

But I get what you're saying, lotta people disagree with SG's tactics of releasing Telephantsm with Rock Band but I think it's a master stroke on the band's part. Now you have all these new fans ready to come to a SG concert !!

  • @ghost2897 I get your side too! It's totally understandable why the older SG fans are not totally pleased. but hey since it's a way to intoduce new fans to SG, and I'm one of those new fans, I can't complain much haha. Anyway I just hope SG would continue rocking and I know they will forever be a music legend!

  • One of the most amazing voices ever.

  • Chris is god...no matter what he does...

love soundgarden, love audioslave, love his accoustic stuff, love the timbaland stuff

    *sigh*

  • What a sexxy voice he has!!!

  • Great song...sounds good on this clip!

  • can you feel this as disturbed tries to say is this what they mean, awesome shit!

  • I saw him perform this song at a toronto show at massey hall. I was so fucking happy he decided to use it in the set. I wasn't expecting it. He's still got it.

  • He needs to get back with Soundgarden. I would probably jizz my pants if they played this song at a reunion concert.

  • There are no words to express how much I love this song. (*sigh!*)

  • I couldn't agree more...

This song rips my soul out

  • Amazing vocal performance, love this song.

Of the band, I usually find my self impressed with this bass player.

  • Yeah...I can REALLY hear the bass here. Sounds really gooood.

  • does any1 know what year this was? thanks in advance

  • pretty recent, sometime in 07 i'm pretty sure.

  • He sings like an angel for real even live!

  • I'll never have anything bad to say about this Guy...

  • Oh god these guys are amazing live

  • Greatest voice I have ever heard in any genre.

  • I prefer Layne Staley over him in grunge terms, but Chris is definitely awesome.

  • yes one of the great vocalists of all time

    rock on CHris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chris Cornell is so ill. He's terminally ill.

  • haha hell yea

  • One of the best vocalist of all time

  • saw him live a couple of years ago at massey hall in toronto. i think it was his 43rd bday. opening act was juliette lewis' band.

anyway, chris was fucking incredible. hit all the crazy notes for hunger strike. great show.

  • He's such an amazing singer. He sounds exactly like the album

  • i saw him a week ago. still under influence, still happy. he's brilliant.

  • Genius. After Him only emptiness...

  • I read an article that this song is about his struggle to overcome his alcohol/drug addiction. If you listen to any of his music, he's not a literal writer.

  • No shit douchenozzle

  • Could someone exsplaine the meaning behind the song? It is a great song! And matt is with pearl jam.... Duh

  • its a very dark song about a man who beats and kills his wife/ gf and saw her as an overall burden to him so he demeaned her and eventually killed her when he got fed up with her. and left her in the sand when he hid the body. but the song can be seen in many different aspects as many soundgarden songs do.

  • @afab17 I take it as if someone had a very serious drinking problem and it took everything he owned and loved then quit and left it in the sand not in his hand.

  • Its about a mans conscience getting to him and causing him to feel regret/remorse for killing his lover after a brief bout of rage. Thus he is left to deal with his isolation and feelings of alienation.

  • Fucking amazing song!

  • amazing voice...
