In May 2011 I made an You-Tube video titled STOPPING A TORNADO = AIRBORNE M.A.S.E.R + C.F.D WEATHER PATTERNS. I had documented the theroy in June 2010 and afterwards threw it in the filing cabinet. After losing 2 friends in the Phill Cambell Ala. 2011 tornado I decided to make the you-tube video. I have sent it to the t.v. show ROCKET CITY REDNECKS to see if it is possible subject for a show. I have different technology demo. to back it up.

It's a tube object and five (or so) point lights. I used an emissive texture on the tube and switched it's visibility on and off. As I recall the lights have their intensity go from zero to "a lot" and back instead of just on and off.
Somehow the lightning crashed the rendering, so there are one or two hand edited frames in the middle of it. :)

Well you see, if someone (like me) puts up something that is sarcastic humor and one of the people on YouTube reads it and thinks I'm serious, it shows that they are unintelligent because of the fact that it is obvious I was joking.
You just seemed liked one of those idiots who put up something like 'FAKE' for no reason, so sorry for that. Sarcastic humor isn't always obvious especially when it's done on the internet.
It's been a while, but as I recall there's a turbulence pattern in a cylirdical coordinate system. Then a foggy material with partial transparency.
There's more to it, but that's the principle.
Art of Illusion provides a graphic UI for creating materials, so most of the math I don't need to type in myself. (Just wire the boxes, that represent patters, coordinates, colors ...) ;)
Hehe :D -- It's not a lightning rod, it's an unfortunate lamp post. And it's not the lightning that throws the pieces around it's the strong winds of the "tornado".
