  • what wrong with chopping their heads off before cooking it? one minute into their death doesn't change the "freshness"

  • @ifuckednatalietran

its proof to the customers that the item was fresh if this video did have customers.

  • @heyitshorse they could chop their heads off in front of the customers

  • Actually you would have 76800, you're just stupid...

  • Why stupid moron do u public shitty video line that!! Cmon buy a new camera instead of this ass

  • @Jagogames

Y U NO SPEAKY RIGHTY WORDY DUMBO?

  • lol @ the comments.....

  • it wasn't moving it was the pixels moving...

  • did you record this video with a lobster?

  • what? if you see dead people farting you will say that the person is alive?

  • here we met again potato cam.

  • How can a lobster be alive when its split in two. seriously cmon now use your head

  • which pixel is the lobster : /

  • disgusting.

  • Who gives a fuck whether the lobster is still alive or dead when it was thrown on the grill. It's going on someone's plate. Animals are not people, fuck how they feel.

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel in this video,

    I'd have a shit joke.

  • which pixel killed the lobsters

  • I love it.

  • No difference than boiling them live. They do that in the US all the time.

  • YUMMMMMMMM

  • recorded off a calculator

  • I've walked out on this in Japan... still can't believe what I saw on that day. It was my stupid friends fault, just because I eat Japanese food doesn't mean I'll eat anything they serve-up. It's crap like this that takes the love out of my interest with Japanese culture. Kill it first.. it's still going to be pretty damn fresh.

  • @botswanky It's ALREADY DEAD. The freaking thing is split in half and it's muscles are reacting to it's separation from it's nervous system/brain. Post mordem spasms and crap. I'm sure if you cut a person in half and their body parts start spasming you would think that the person is still alive... HAH. freaking idiot.

  • @UCLASeraph Really? not the one I watched in person in Osaka last year, not to mention the countless videos etc of other peoples live meals... I guess you missed the very first part of my post... freaking idiot? look in the mirror pal.

  • @botswanky Don't eat ANY LIVE ANIMALS EVER then. LOL. Watch the rodeo, watch spanish bullfighting. Watch mammals being slaughtered for food and hung then get back to me on your pathetic view of "HUMANE" treatment and consumption of animals.

  • @UCLASeraph Separation from the nervous system and brain...? >_> Do you even know what you're talking about?

  • @anianiiii Nervous system / slash / brain. durr?? synonymous in this context

  • @UCLASeraph You're just looking worse... I was actually talking about the fact that you think the nervous system can separate itself from a body just like that lol

  • @anianiiii Don't really care what you think? You haven't offered any biological explanation either buddy. I'm pretty sure when the lobster is split in half so violently that the nervous system/brain doesn't have a chance to react and the movements you see are reflexive muscle contractions upon that occurence. Enlighten me, otherwise, post something more explanatory instead of your generic ideas about how I don't know what I'm talking about.

  • @UCLASeraph Generic? I'm a doctor, buddy. And you just changed what you said in the first post, which led me to comment.

You said the nervous system AND brain (though according to you they're a synonymous, lol) separated themselves... You do know the nervous system has branches and roots almost all over the body right? It's impossible to "separate" itself from the body.Whether the lobster was dead or not, I don't care.

  • @anianiiii the human nervous system, for example, are branched into the spinal cord. I break the spinal cord and it will result in instant, painless death, because the nerves are disconnected from the brain(if you want to look into deeper only the midbrain sends and recieves nerve signals). Just a heads up because i think you might be full of shit.

  • @sofarsogood9 lmao what does that even have to do with my post? I never commented on not killing the thing or killing it or breaking anything.

  • @sofarsogood9 And nice going, Einstein. Basing off a youtube channel that is barely used. I haven't updated it.

  • @anianiiii Let's assume then. Youtube was created 6 years ago so I'm assuming doctor dipshit(that's you!) is no older than 22. minus the 3 years and you're 19 now. Congratulations, you're a hypocrite and a liar.

  • @anianiiii Your profile says you're 16. You're definently full of shit. On to the point: all meat we eat has to be slaughtered one point or the other. It's important to know how your food is processed and I can tell you now it's not pleasant. Please do some research before you call something inhumane. Because everything humans do is *inhumane*

  • @sofarsogood9 Eh? The hell did I even use the word "inhumane"?

  • @anianiiii Don't care either, but in this context, the "brain and nervous system (center, to clarify, I guess)" are synonymous. Man, you sure don't read well for a "doctor" lmao. You sure have a lot of time on your hands, "Doctor".

  • @anianiiii My comments were made to defend the chef/cooks who cook crustaceans. Yes, no fucking shit the nervous SYSTEM extends throughout the entire body, however, my argument was that crustaceans don't "FEEL" the way humans/mammals/more evolved creatures "feel" (Yes, Humans are synonymous with Mammals! OMG! Obviously not, but you probably will read it as such. And when they are split in half like that, their brain / CENTRAL nervous system is completely cut away from all "feeling"... limit

  • @anianiiii What kind of a Doctor goes on the internet and starts bitching on lobster videos?

  • @UCLASeraph Crustaceons have VERY simple brains, they can be "alive" in the most basic sense of the word for quite a while after being cut in half.

  • @scjkscs no they can't....gtfo....myths will not be tolerated, nor will ignorance....way to be a fag.

  • @UCLASeraph they properly never cook sea food before lol!!

  • @botswanky

You look upon an ENTIRE culture poorly based on things like this? I question how genuine your interest is in other cultures, of it you just want them to fit some romanticized image you already have. Cooking live lobster isn't unique to Japan, nor is it cruel. Read my reply to the other guy. A simple GOOGLE SEARCH would deliver many of you from your painful ignorance. Holy shit people, ease up on the emotional, knee-jerk reactions. Such a response is more "primitive" than what's here

  • @opmike343 Food is a BIG part of their culture, so it matters. And I said it takes the love out of my interest, not that it affects my overall view of Japanese culture. And I'm well aware it's not just the Japs that do things like this to animals.

And as for "knee-jerk" reaction, if it doesn't bother you to watch an animal be grilled alive, then you clearly lack empathy, or just need to experience it in person to really understand how sickening this is. BTW, I'm no animal lover either.

  • at least kill the poor things first.

  • @Relda999

you can't actually, there is a reason lobsters must be boiled/fried alive. If you kill them first, they become toxic and dangerous to eat.

  • @candyappledragon Very true. Freezing damages the texture and flavor but helps preserve the safety of the shellfish however it's best to eat them fresh and live.

  • Awsome

  • @ThaOneChrisJONES You're an idiot. Lobsters don't have nerve endings needed to feel pain. And yes, they have done research on just about every animal seeing if they feel pain. Most Crustaceans don't feel pain. Now everyone stop slamming on this vid. It's culture.

  • if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video

    i would have 1 dollar

  • @tcsdef LOL so far the best comment after 50 videos

  • @tcsdef Technically, This is impossible. As 2 colours are in the video. That requires 2 pixels.

  • I have to say sorry to you. I was raise up better then this. I should have known, and should have been more respectful of your kind. I promise to you and everyone in the world that I will NEVER disrespect a retard like you again. I hope you accept this from me.

  • Such an important event, why the fuck was it filmed with a calculator?

  • @rockee06 does calculators have cameras even? XD lol that was stupid

  • @SuperUniverseQueen you're just not good enough to have one StupiduniverseDragQueen.

  • @rockee06 o.o u are reaaalllly~ stupid u don't even realize it stfu rockeetheretardedcrapbagfagget Por favor callaste!

  • @SuperUniverseQueen hahhhaa did it hit the right note, got you all mad now didnt I? upset over someone making fun of your ass...come mierda causa usted es un coño sucio. Have a nice day.

  • @rockee06 -.- Vete al infierno crapbag su sucio como una persona gay XD and I will have a nice day without u saying V.V fag...

  • @SuperUniverseQueen yo quiero taco bell

  • @rockee06 ? then go and eat? V.V duuuh!!! stupid foolish retarded crapbag idiot

  • @SuperUniverseQueen oh god how I love being entertained by retards...you guys are like a drug to me.

  • @rockee06 idiot u think idk u? think again do u remeber when we where at school at the last parents meeting and Ms. campbell triped and u pissed urself laughing lol XD

  • @SuperUniverseQueen hey, I was reading your comment arguing with some other, could tell us what is this argument about?

  • @zederish ....Calculators having cameras....

  • The lobsters pain enhances the flavor :D

  • This Hurts Lobsters.

  • japan is awesome

  • Ha if you only knew how we process lobsters in the kitchen. You have 4 minutes to break down 25 lobsters... figure it out.

  • Disgusting.

  • man get some butter and some lemon juice and im good to go

  • Someone should have this restaurant SHUT DOWN and its owners jailed for animal cruelty. How would you like it if someone cut you in half and put you on a grill?

  • @ProudLiberal110 If I were delicious, I'd be proud. Do you eat vegetables? They're living things too... MURDERER!

  • Ive spent the last 4 years as a lobster and I can tell you that yenyoo is correct. Not only do we not feel pain, boiling us alive actually gives us great pleasure, similar to a human orgasm

  • very nice hd quality

  • HD :O

  • did you record this with a lamp?

  • Luckily this video shows they have been killed before.

  • The fact that crustaceans show distress with their movements when they are put in situations where they are subject to noxious stimuli always trying to get away from them is a very strong indication that they react to them.

  • It does have a nervous system otherwise it wouldn’t be able to move, nervous system does not always require a spinal cord. The fact that they have a different type of nervous system doesn’t mean they don’t feel pain. The fact that they have feelings suggests that they’re nervous system is most certainly also capable of transmitting painful sensation.

  • They should do that to some humans.

  • Peeps just throwing it out there, theres a person hocking the Crustastun product, thats supposed to electrocute the little buggers to death. Well I got sick of hearing her shit, so I went and I looked it up. This thing costs $4,700 AMERICAN dollars. Pop that little shit in the freezer, wish it luck and if you have to cut its head in half, but don't waste your money, or your time researching this thing. If you wanna spend that kinda money spend it on a kids education.

  • CRUSTACEANS FEEL PAIN! QUEEN UNI. BELFAST HAS ALREADY PUBLISHED THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH RESULTS! (2009) NOONE EVER SAY THEY DONT FEEL PAIN ANYMORE!!!! THERE IS A MACHINE CALLED CRUSTASTUN WHICH KILLS THEM IN 5 SECONDS WITHOUT PAIN WITH ELECTRO-STUNNING!

WATCH MY VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL AND DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THIS WAY OF KILLING THE LITTLE ANIMAL AGAIN...THIS IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO TO A LIVING THING! SCIENTIST PROVED IT ALREADY! ITS YOU GUYS THAT WERE NOT INTERESTED IN READING THAT!

  • @jaydaelbertstein caps lock off. k thx.

  • @jaydaelbertstein Enough with the caps lock.

Any sensible person knows this, it's not a big deal if it's chopped in half suddenly and cooked, since it's brain has been split there is no processing of pain after a few seconds, it's no worse than if any other life form killed it and ate it in the wild.

You should be more concerned about lifelong cruelty like battery farming rather than the natural process of death and consumption.

  • @jaydaelbertstein HAHAHAHAHAHA OMFG you idiot, do you even know how much it costs to buy one of those stupid things? $4,700!! Yeah thats AMERICAN dollars...dumb ass. I'm not for hurting animals but quite frankly, an hour in the freezer and a knife to the head and its the same damn thing. You are ridiculous hocking this crap and I'm gonna spam your ass, because this is getting to be really fucking annoying.

  • @jaydaelbertstein First of all lobsters dont have fucking spinal cords. And that means they cant feel pain because they cant register it. They can only register pressure and such

  • look at all these hippie comments... If you don't like watching food being cooked then go watch something else. I personally like to cook meat such as beef and fresh caught crabs because I catch many crabs on fishing trips and steam them up in nice meals. Many sealife don't feel pain when they die, the only thing's I'm against is cruelty against dogs because it's psychologically proven that dogs have emotions and feel pain just like us, sealife on the other hand... they don't feel pain & emotion

  • @david000009 seriously, some sappy ass bitches i swar... people kill and eat animals, oh fuckin well right?

id understand if he was killing it just to kill it but GOD DAM ITS FOOD! STFU WITH THAT SAPPY SHIT

  • people who made this things deserve to die!

  • what did you record that with? your calculator?

  • who cares if its alive or dead geez

  • Why not kill the lobsters first? It takes seconds and saves the lobsters a great deal of pain. Yeah, it's "just" a lobster, but causing an animal pain for no reason is just cruel.

And to who said lobsters don't feel pain? Maybe not on the same level as mammals, but they certainly feel pain.

  • meat, poultry and seafood does not comes from plastic container idiots....

  • this is definitely worse than the chickens and cows we kill for KFC and fast foods...no wait taht aint right

  • There is a scientific debate as to if they can feel pain. Latest research says yes. Some say nervous system is so simple, they can't feel pain. STudies have show that when given pain, they respond, but after anesthesia, they dont respond to same kind of pain. If you don't know, give them benefit of doubt and kill quickly first, not torture to death! Source: Google the words research shows lobsters feel pain, the study was conducted in 2007.

  • @Nchuleftingth i keep reading the word "humane" and it makes me think of how "humane" people are. we string up animals by their ankles and slaughter them alive. the "electric shock" you speak of isn't to ease the pain of the poor animal, it's a way to kill it. you've obviously never seen a PETA"home-movie".now, humane...as in human ethic and sweetness...the same race that enslaved its own kind? indeed humane. let's whip the beast too....make it even more HUMANE. same motherfuckers that rape dogs

  • It's ok to eat fish cuz they don't got any feelings.

  • im more of a crab person

  • okay wtf is soo inhumane about this?man has been killing animals for as long as we have had tools! GOD said we can and we did.we do and we will for as long as we want!

  • yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Most of 'em were just laying out, taking it, but that one on the left kept squirming like he was saying 'god DAMN this is hot! change me up, dude - this sucks!'.

  • LOUD NOISES!

  • as i said on another video like this, it's a great asian tradition to be inhumane when dispatching animals

  • @emptycorp

Possibly the boldest, most sensible statement I've ever seen.

  • chinese people will eat anything including each other..........or maybe i should say humans

  • @ramprashad29 lol, chinese ppl arent maneaters o.O

its true that they eat dogs, snakes and other animals but thats called culture.

They may find it strange that we eat cows or pigs?

to those who think eating/killing this lobster is cruel: Its the nature :@

since we ve been monkeys/homo sapiens or w/e, we ve been eating animals.

besides, if u dont like eating meat/fish, the more for us :D

  • Being able to move doesn't guarantee life just like how, YOU, being able to write doesn't denote intelligence.

  • they aren't alive, its their simple nervous system reacting to the heat, like frog legs when you drop them in a hot pan. They are very much dead and feeling nothing.

  • Well, lobsters to not have a brain. We eat goats and cows that are mamipherous like us. It´s worst!

  • Lobsters do not feel pain as they do not have a spinal cord. They feel pressure and force, but not pain.

  • @yenyoo actually, a lot of scientists believe that they do feel pain. Sure they don't have a CNS but they do display aversion to negative stimuli. I think the fact that they are live beings pretty much ensures that they feel some kind of 'pain' otherwise, they'd have been extinct pretty much from conception.

I'm not opposed to the slaughter of sea bugs though, it's a drop in the bucket and besides; the lobster will out last the humans as a species.

  • @yenyoo why do they suffer on the stove then?

  • @yenyoo what! PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT TO ME!!!!!!

so when you stab a lobster they feel nothing as if some one would have stabed me i would have only felt the knife going in me?

  • @yenyoo Can you provide us with a link to a source? I honestly would like to know that, this way I can clear my mind or oppose this.

  • @yenyoo You have experience as a lobster then? How in the hell do you know?

  • @yenyoo as a biological neuroscience researcher I can honestly tell you that's not how it works.

  • @funkinstein I didn't know scientist can fall prey to such a common logical fallacy.

  • @yenyoo Not to worry, scientists actually conduct research in order to arrive at a conclusion, where as you're only concerned with conjecture.

  • @yenyoo, Oh really!, Um.. so how many have you asked? I'm curious where did you get that from?

Yes that would be why we have developed human handling rules here for them. The Nervous system is responsible for pain, moron, its a self protection system that almost all life has.

HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU KNOW

  • @yenyoo

    you are an idiot

  • @yenyoo False. They indeed do feel pain. As such, inhumane methods of killing (example, boiling them alive) are banned in several locations around the world with varying penalties for offenders.

  • @yenyoo

Then why are they flinching when put on hot stove?

  • @macrosoft01 Movement is not always due to pain, and also, well, you can believe whatever you want, but you do need a spinal cord to perceive pain. You can see this when humans and other animals have paralysis in their spine and can no longer perceive pain, and do-not respond to it. I subscribe to the belief that crustaceans such as a lobster did not evolve to perceive pain because of their hard outer shell is their defense mechanism instead of a response to danger by feeling pain.

  • @yenyoo there are jellyfish that have no brains yet can still communicate, play together and avoid obstacles that are put in their path

  • @yenyoo so why do I see lobsters flinching about after having their claws cut off alive?

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz it's their muscles contracting. Happens with many animals.

  • @Mastersturm how bout the screaming and flinching when they're in boiling water? I doubt they'd scream for no reason and flinch if it didn't hurt.

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz Well that's a different style of cooking them first of all. And all the times I've cooked my lobster, they've been silent. Wasn't even aware they made noise.

  • @Mastersturm well it still seems to me like there's something wrong with them when they squirm about everything. until I've transformed into a lobster and been boiled alive or had my claws cut off I'll find it hard to believe they don't feel pain.

  • @yenyoo Wrong. Recent studies have demonstrated that it is most likely that lobsters feel pain in a way that is analogous to vertebrates.

  • @5a1tY

Wrong. Recent studies shows that lobster is actually delicious.

  • @benkenser Really? I heard the same study also made a less contentious conclusion; namely that you're a faggot.

  • @5a1tY

Study also says that you should shut your fckin mouth up.

  • @benkenser u mad?

  • @yenyoo how do you know? are you a fucking lobster? : /

  • @yenyoo just so you know you don't need a spinal cord to feel pain. wherever you have nerves connecting to a central nervous system there is the possibility of feeling pain. it depends on the nerves. it has absolutely nothing to do with whether it goes through a spinal cord. although in vertebrate mammals like us, the afferent sensory nerves go through the spinal cord.

  • @yenyoo Yes, that's why when people drop lobsters in boiling water, they scream as loud as fuck...

  • getting hungry

  • The Horror!!!!

  • Plants have life based on the fact that they breathe but as they do not have brain so they do not feel pain or have feelings. biologically anything having brain is said to be live and for this reason a person is said to be dead only if his brain stops working s

  • @san9904 Biologically, alive doesn't not mean anything with a brain, you should look up the criteria of being alive are before many anymore inaccurate statements.

  • If we need to eat then we can at least do it humanely.

Humanely = killing living things as quickly and painlessly as possible.

NOTHING is more important than a life, killing something slower just because it'll taste nicer isn't a reason.

  • oh damn so fresh i would like to eat that :D

  • @RevyNai : who the fuck are u tellin me these stuf u bitch? i don care what my language is u punk im just statin the facts don like it ride on asians dick...wtf brainwashed? hey dummy its common sense theres nothing about brainwash thats my reactions to ppl who kill living cratures alive now who the fuck ever they are canadians or asians...i don care kk? now watch your mouth faggot.

  • @angel3702 I agree... its just that all these cabbages that soak in the media and other forms of subliminal messages are being conditioned to believe that unless we kill an animal a certain way, its inhumane? Besides we can all clearly see how "Humane" we are as a race... Killing each other everyday, stealing for greed and power. stfu you cabbages... just eat the damn things.

  • now the boiling pot doesnt seem so bad... does it?

  • gimme!!!

  • @BizenKiyomitsu hey u fukkin asian noob its vegetarian not vegetalian u fukin fuck face and we never boil animals alive like u sick fucks atleast we kill them fast so it wouldnt have as much pain...now suck my dick bitch yeahhhh

  • @alirezaghost Your ignorance.... is not surprising, judging by your incredibly stupid post. Swearing left and right does not make you seem smart - quite the opposite in fact. For your information, yes, lobster ARE boiled alive in Canada as well (and yes, I'm Canadian too). Are you one of those PETA brain washed supporters? I don't really agree with it, but your arguements are so very stupid I just had to let you know.

Oh and, gtfo Canada you ignorant racist prick, or open your eyes.

  • @alirezaghost He asked 2 questions, he didn't insult anyone.

ps. love the word noob, you troll.

  • They're cut in half. NOT alive. It's just the primitive nervous system moving their limbs.

  • @cliffcox66 what u mean PNS, its peripheral nervous system, the one that controlls involuntary actions that regulate the body? May that lobster, i love lobster, or any other young animals, so tender so succulent so juicy, vegans donot know what their missing out on, well vegans to me isnt just a bunch of bashful people on youtube, they is leaving more quality and cheaper meat for me! =), I support animal rights stress makes their meat taste a little off.

  • @yenyoo Right, was thinking one thing and typed another. CNS vs PNS. As you know, the lobbys dead. But ppl think that because there's movement, there's life, or even feeling. WRONG. IN the ER, though patients are pronounced, there's still residual electrical conduction in the hear that may be viewed on the cardiac monitor. Unfortunately family member believe the patient is still alive. It's just residual electrical activity. Same as this lobster.

  • you sick mortals are truly revolting to me. go get a life, you sick fuckers!

  • @DarkenIvan oh, wise immortal lord. what is thy bidding? hahahaha

  • ohh yeah you didnt know? we're all "vegetalians" everyone on the west side came from vegitaly. retard.

  • Comment removed

  • It was already dead - what you see is as a result of tendons being heated. They cause all that movement.

  • you dont have to eat everything. we don't need to eat lobsters. just comsuming every living things for the sak erof it is wrong

  • at least this isnt as bad as the "farming" process in the states.

  • god damn it you people... EVERY FRIGEN VIDEO A STUPID DEBATE ABOUT HOW ITS NOT HUMANE AND CRAP. JESUS >:(

you don't like it, stop watching it. We are not gods, we are animals. Food is food, eat it and move on.

  • fuckin' barbarians

  • @dragacia fuckin' moron

  • im a vegetarain but sometimes i kill lobsters just to be a dick, lol

  • @slowmopoke

just because your vegetarian doesn't mean you can't kill them lol

  • eindhovuh de geaksteeeeh.

juist daarom eet ik t nie :P

  • fuckin' cruel u human's..!!!! biatch..

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

DA LOBSTER GONE DIED, DIZ SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Shut the fuck up, seriously. You live in a first world country, enjoying the bounties of capitalism, while people across the world are dying of starvation WHILE YOU DO NOTHING, and you're complaining that these people are cruel for cooking a lobster?

  • The video is clearly titled "Death of a Lobster - Teppanyaki Style". That already tells me that, hey, a lobster dies. To even get to this video, one would have to search for "lobster death" or see in the list of Suggested/Related Videos the very same title. And even before the video played, one could just as easily hit Back, or Pause, or any number of options.

The fact that the people calling this disturbing still continued to watch to see the "grotesque" parts just baffles me. Masochists.

  • This vid is soooo disturbing, Can u imagine? Oh boy

  • they should just kill the lobsters first :(. It is too cruel to fried them like that.

  • @xhumycita WELL, TIGERS EAT THEIR GAZELLES BY TEARING THEIR FLESH
