I don't know if you know this yet, but when Agnus is shooting fireballs out at you, you can stand right under the portal and attack him from the opposite side he started shooting at you from.

@Bertoleyus Hmm - I don't. I thought he auto-tracked you with that fireball attack. i.e. if you try to flank him he'll turn around as he does it.

@AquosSlash Move's name is Calibur. Hold R1, press back, then forward on stick + Triangle.

This is all stuff you'll get if you read the ingame tutorial. You should read up on those moves and the way they execute, it's pretty basic stuff. :)

MAX-act - that's completely practice.

I just did! I found out how to play this mission with Dante!!!!!!!!! Through Debug mode, this probably works only in the PC version and it works in other Neros Missions aswell!!!

Im sorry it took me so long to reply but here it is: In the pc version (i dont know if it works in the ps3/360 versions) I press together L1+L2+R1 (thats "change gun/exceed+change target+ target{aim] in my control scheme). That should bring up the Debug mode. In it choose "soft dip" and Pl Dante Start: True. Now next time you start a mission you will always play as Dante. You can do a lot of other fun things, such as making the enemies invincible and kick the crap out of them forHours

@uritziel Trying to get it to work, but it doesn't.

The default PS3 button layout for DMC4 is to have L1 = Devil Trigger (which I swapped to Gun ingame), L2 = Exceed, and L3 (left analog stick button) to be change target. I physically mapped these three buttons in the launcher accordingly to EXACTLY match that. The L2 on my PS2 controller emulates the X360's LT, the R1 emulates the RB, and L1 emulates the LB.

I got no idea why this doesn't work... do you have the original PC retail release?

Yes I do. I have the Czech version, but that shouldnt be an issue... Well, I just changed my configuration to default and it still works with the same button combination L1+L2+R1. On my controller are these buttons displayed as 5+7+6. I use the Logitech Rumblepad 2 If thats any help... In any case, this should work ingame aswell as in any menu of the game... I cant believe theres no info on this in any of the DMC forums and sites I searched. I figured it out by accident...

I hope youll figure it out. It brings the gameplay to a new level... Ever tried fighting an invincible Beliar on DMD? :-D Or trying to survive as long as possible in a mosh pit of invincible scarecrows on LDK? Ive been experimenting all day... Or kicking Sanctus'/Angelo-Credos ass with Dante :-). Let me know if you make any progress or have any other questions...

My 360 RROD-ed so I can't play, though you remind me of how I play with Dante, though our skill levels are far apart (with you better than me, obviously).

The PC version is available for $20 on Steam. If you have a decent PC (8800GT, Dual Core, etc.) you should be able to play it at decent settings.
