@Truthislife7 study of the hebrew words and then study greek words don't apply modern translations or modern definitions you trying to apply a modern definition to a ancient translation of the word
I read both books know. But what I got from bells book was that love wins by giving you the chose where you want to go for all eternity, that is how it wins.
The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. God’s love & mercy endures forever. Does it really endure forever or only in this life? How can it be Good News if it doesn’t translate to the afterlife? God will still judge but He will not punish forever. He’s a better father than we are, right?
1 Tim 4:10 This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.
lol at this idiot. how in the world is this dude going to imitiate Rob Bell's image, his look, style and video cinematography to insult Rob Bell and then try to promote his own book?
what a jokester. like this guy really gives a shit about hell and people going to it. he just wants to sell his book and make a name for himself using Rob Bell's name.
true what they say: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
@oneminuteapologist Rob Bell is wrong for sure. But, the eternal hell idea is even more unbiblical and frankly sadistic and there is no way it can be reconciled with the idea that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) or that the lake of fire is the 2nd death (Revelation 20:14) or that God has the power to destroy both soul and body in hell and others. Hell will only exist for a short time (not now) to end the existence of sin and all who refuse to give it up. See wwwDOThelltruthDOTcom
@aabeaverson See my link below or my playlist on hell for what the Bible teaches on this. It's not eternal at all. But, it will be real for a short time.
Dear littlelightnin, please see Romans 10:9 in the Bible ("Romans 10:9 you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved").
@miracles1234 so, are you saying that the Bible teaches I must speak something with my mouth to be saved? Aren't we saved by grace, through faith? Is faith an action, or just an inner trust in Jesus?
I praise Bobby's courage to openly talk about hell based on the Bible. He is risking being tagged as a bearer of bad news but he does that just for love. The infinite love that Jesus has for us to save us from the place we deserve: hell. At the end it doesn't matter if we believe he'll exists or not...
@miracles1234 I personally believe that the Bible is true, but I have also seen that not everything is as it appears to be in the Bible. This causes me to wonder if maybe there is more to the hell issue than we as a traditional church have come to know or believe. Think about what we are saying. We are saying that EVERY human soul that does not trust in Jesus before death will go to eternal torment. This is a very bold statement, especially since practically speaking, we know many have cont-
cont-died without even knowing that there is a Jesus, much less that He is the savior. What about the dark ages, when the Roman institution forbade the majority of the people in the world to read, and made it where they were the ones who dictated what was truth? We also have to consider that if we are all under sin, that includes babies and retarded people, so unless we see God as the Calvinists do, I would say we need to reexamine hell from the Bible's point of view -.continued
finally, I would like to ask anyone willing to answer, how God could consider eternal punishment as justice, or how His holiness could be satisfied by eternal torment of all souls who do not trust in Jesus? Usually, punishment is delved out in hopes that the party learns from their mistakes, and is rehabilitated, but eternal torment allows for zero rehab, and only suffering that never ends. How is that justice or holy? I know from personal experience that I simply wasn't sure if cont--
continued-- if Jesus was the truth or not. I didn't "reject" Him, I was merely unsure if I believed or not. I'm sure most of us were like that before we got saved, as are a lot of others. So, had I not come to the conclusion that I believed in Jesus, and I then died, I would have spent eternity burning in flames, with no hope? Think about what we are saying when we say that. That's BILLIONS upon billions of people who will be burning.
I thought that God's wrath and holiness was taken care of at the cross and that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.....not just those who happened to be born in Southern America or who were evangelized in some way. Also the "sinners prayer" that everyone says will save you is not in the Bible. I do not think that beliefs about hell are what saves or damns people either. I have to wonder if we are being very arrogant to think that God is depending on us to "save" the world B4 its 2 late.
Wouldn't a loving God chose "hell" to simply be a void of time/space...a complete absence of God & anything good; as opposed to a place of eternal torture? Let's say someone becomes a sinner/criminal due to the horrific childhood he had. He was abused daily & never steps foot into a church growing up. His parents are atheists. He was never shown love. He dies before he ever gets the chance to repent (let's say in a car accident at age 22). Does he deserve to burn eternally? :0/
If someone was coerced to believe a lie for ages, eventually the lie will be orthodoxy but however strong it is, it will never be truth. What is the point to keep torturing someone forever? When a dog attack someone the dog is not captured and given a dose of pain continually that would be cruelty, the right thing to do is to be done with the offender or else Jesus would not say be hot or be COLD he doesn't delight in eternal torment, Hell will last as long as it burns out itself.Gen.19:23
@bbbckcal Hell is not non-stop torture. Probably for the antichrist, tho. Hell is separation from God and all things holy...if you don't want to live with God, He'll just give you want you want.

Why is there no third option? Why can't souls simply be free in eternity or be reincarnated? What of those who want to find their own path?
