This man has taken Aristotle's quotes out of context: "...that reality and truth do transcend the factual and empirical" and the speaker's statement, "The notion that the metaphysical takes us beyond the things of this world is an abiding implication of the term". Aristotle said that metaphysics transcends beyond the empirical [senses] not 'beyond the things of this world', that is more in line with Plato's version of metaphysics, we do not know things by seeing but by abstracting from reality
@needabloodyname I know what you are implying, but the bible does not teach ignorance. Take 1 Thessalonians 5:21 for example: Test everything. Hold on to the good.
@needabloodyname Sir, don't BE a moron. Catholics INVENTED the university: Oxford, Paris, heard of them? I know what you think you know from listening to the chatter your entire life (because I used to think the same), but spend thirty minutes READING the 13th-century Catholic Scholastics like Aquinas and Scotus--these men had more knowledge than any of us watching YouTube can ever hope to grasp!
@whoisgv ok I admit that my comment was pretty stupid but still, it's not suprising that catholics developmed the first universities when you consider how much of the population was catholic at the time.
@needabloodyname Ever attend a graduation? Secondary, university or otherwise? Why does everyone wear gowns that look suspiciously like medieval Catholic vestments? Again, because Catholics CREATED the modern University.
"We are the real gods" NOT There is one God, one absolute Truth. One. Humans are fragmented and therefore explains your coment. We are humans not gods
Metaphysics continues to be largely defined by that which cannot be subsumed under the physical sciences. Is there a self-organizing dynamic within the universal quantum field that could exhibit mind-like qualities?

@needabloodyname Actually, if you know what "catholic" and "university" means, it's more like a tautology. (And yes, I see your pseudo-recant above.)

@MrEriugena A philosopher should also know that one ought know what he's talking about before he opens his mouth.

May God have you Dr Ralph in his hands alongside all the saints in heaven.
God Bless this man who defended the authentic Catholic truth in it's philosophy.

Suppose as a technical problem that one could imprint a in the universal quantum field a means by which one could later be reinstantiated. . .
