@tdhand15 Grade A is used by local importers, often to make the difference between handpicked and batch bred(grade B) koi, originating from Japanese lines, but mostly bred in Israel.
Actually I've always felt that the hi on my koi is not thick enough. I've seen other koi with much thicker reds. I only started feeding colour food less than a year ago. I think the video also makes them look redder than they really are.
i love carpe <3

It looks like you spent thousands of dollars for them...They are Grade "A" Koi imported from Japan!?
tdhand15 1 year ago
@tdhand15 "Grade A" is not a term used by the Japanese, probably just by your local dealer. Some of my koi were quite expensive, others not so.
hooinc 1 year ago
@hooinc Everywhere I've seen it, they have grades for them. Koi shows, breeders, Japanese breeders. What term would you use then?

Thanks.
They were very very red!
What made that bright deep red skin or it was just all about their genetics.

Across the age groups. My koi vary from 2 to 8 years old.

Vincent of Kepong Koi very kindly did it for me free. I had to pay for the rented lorry though, which did not cost very much.
