  • I was born and raised in Clearwater. Ive heard CSX blowing the whistle since the day I left the hospital. I make videos of CSX if you want to check them out

  • @vipmd ok I will be safe. CSX Police are in full force around Clearwater/Largo due to a recent news article on people throwing rocks from the tracks at houses and cars. just a little fyi

  • @airRail76 uh oh! boys will be boys! haha! thanks for the tip man!

  • THANKYOU !!!!!! I found what I have been looking for :) Hope to be out there one day to catch my first train, and start rolling!

  • Nice to see some video from my old hometown. Many years ago, before the Home Depot was there, I used to cut between 22nd Av N and 13th right thru the yard(this was 76-83ish) and always admired what ever was sitting there. Up till 97 I lived over near South Pasadena and remember some of the last trains rolling down the old ACL line before It became the Pinellas Trail.

  • Great catch on the units and good video.

  • I'm glad that there is still some rail service in Pinellas. I miss the days when Amtrak ran trains daily to St. Pete. A good friend of mine was an engineer on one of the runs. It's too bad that the old ACL line was abandoned and ripped out (the now "Pinellas Trail". Would have likely been perfect for light rail nowadays with the current population.

  • Great video! I have Been around to see action on this line but never had my camera! Good Job!

  • YEA!!!! CANTALEIVER!

  • Very nice video!!! xxD

  • excellant video

  • @pwalpar Thank you- believe it or not this is my favorite place to watch trains- it's a monday-thru-friday job but its my hometown local!

  • Very nice video. Thanks.

  • nice one rich love light power

  • Great video. Nice coverage and camera work. I believe that job is still O701. Glad to see St. Pete still has rail traffic. Five stars.

  • Question. Do they keep that caboose in St Pete somewhere? I never see one running on the train from Tampa.

  • @kenjr29mfl Ken, this caboose is always kept in St. Pete. It is either just south of 13th Avenue North or just north of I-275 on the St. Pete Times spur.

  • Great video. I caught him yesterday still running as O701 but on an afternoon schedule due to track work. 5*****

  • Thanks for the prompt reply. What do you think of the rumors CSX is going to sell this line?

  • I live in Clearwater and there has been quite a bit more activity. Do you know who the customers CSX provides to in St Pete? It's my understanding they only use this rail line for 2 customers.

  • @brainfvr hey there is the st. pete times printing plant, an aluminum recycling facility right by Carrolls building supply a conrad Yelvington Rock facility, a gas like propane or chorline center and thats all I know of... Thats good there getting busy on this line!!! Take care! Rich

  • Great Video! Theirs been alittle bit more activity lately.

  • K will do! I am guessing that it hasnt been replaced since it was put in back in '59! Thanks Ill check your site

  • When you get a free minute, look up my page and check out the video I have uploaded of O702 on 02/05/2010. I was born here in St. Pete and know every tie of that rail! Still can't believe the work that was done over the past month. My guess is they're getting ready to sell it to the State for TBARTA.

  • Thanks! Try around 3 p.m. (this week) LOL!!!

  • Nice footage! Even I haven't railfanned them at the St. Pete Yard yet, and I live in Pinellas County! 5*****
