@veksink he still features prominently in the video, and its his garish celebration of his riches there that contrasts so sharply with John Lee Hooker's perspective and sentiment. Plus realistically it's still a 50 Cent song, just like "Funky Drummer" is still a James Brown sample even though you generally only hear Clyde Stubblefield when it is sampled.
