@kosta1987 actually mgs3 is about how blind patriotism to a country (following blind orders with no real thought) is wrong as Big Boss found out the hard way, loyalty yes but be loyal to yourself, also how every soldier is a puppet who questions nothing and are 'the tools of politicians' a good message to the blind patriotism of Americans, if you want to create a change in time, don't blindly abide by society's rules. Be able to evaluate whats right and wrong on your own...

@Burndog17 the game just frose right thee and in the way it was letting you know who was the main hero of the series because if your a true metal gear fan you hear alot about big boss and he's like a mystery type of guy but here you see really what kind of person he is then you get sucked up into the character and all up to the end of the game you forget about snake. So I think it's another way of the creator saying don't forget about snake.

Does anyone else see the resemblance to casino royale in this game? Snake falls in love with Eva throughout the game and gets played by her in the end like bond did...and both bond and snake got tortured and also they were both rookies.

Title of Big Boss, with that title he carried pain and weight of the dream that Boss had. This story is so hardcore. One of those few book-to-game transformation like one. Though no book was written before this story.

seems like the metal gear games have some sorta theme to each one.  MGS1 is about genes and how u cannot be controled by them. MGS2 basically passing ur genes to the next generation in other words having kids. MGS3 is about loyalty and Patriotism. And MGS4 about the value of life and living it to the fullest

SCENE isn't really about patriotism in a "HURR FUK YEAH AMURICA" sense. The Boss was patriotic to the world. America was just an emulator for her actions.

SENSE is an extension of MEME. How people must atone for their sins so that the next generation doesn't inherit them (ie Big Boss' sins is passed onto Liquid, Solidus, and Revolver/Liquid Ocelot. Solid Snake carries the burden of correcting his father's sins.)

Actually if you notice The Boss and Solid Snake carry the same fate. Both of there finally missions are to sacrifice there life. In the end Snake doesn't have to, but instead put aside the beast and not live as a snake, but as a man. Metal Gear Solid franchise is amazing and ive never seen such an amazing hero with Solid Snake since Batman.

Ocelot is her son. Snake is in his 30's and her son was born during WW2 20 or so years before the game. PLus the wiki page on Ocelot said he's her son
