I believe that controversy was that Kobe "invented" "created" the elbow dunk before VC used it in the Dunk Contest. He didnt do it in '97. He did it around '98 or '99. I have to say that all the criticism that was written about Vince in comparison to Kobe is accurate. VC is not far from Kobe offensively because there's nothing Kobe can do that VC can't do. Defensively, that's another story and an elite player playing defense says a whole lot about work ethic, competitiveness, determination, and humility. When Kobe does something on the court it's like "Wow", but with VC it's mind blowing! The 2000 Olympics and 2000 slam dunk contest literally had me in shock.

aiite.. heres my opinion.. Kobe is a better scorer.. he can get a good shot off on anybody at anytime.. Vince.. WAS a better dunker.. But after those injuries, hes lost his explosiveness.. and i think kobe can get up with the best of him.. Therefore.. RIGHT NOW.. kobe > carter.. But in his prime.. like Kobe said.. I have to say that all the criticism that was written about Vince in comparison to Kobe is accurate. VC is not far from Kobe offensively because there's nothing Kobe can do that VC can't do. Defensively, that's another story and an elite player playing defense says a whole lot about work ethic, competitiveness, determination, and humility. When Kobe does something on the court it's like "Wow", but with VC it's mind blowing! The 2000 Olympics and 2000 slam dunk contest literally had me in shock.

Second of all Vince is the best dunker of all time but actually shoots a ton of jumpers, and has never shot less than 33 percent on the 3 ball. Last 2 seasons 36 percent. Research before you respond.
