@metalmaniac2493 that's right. Manowar are definitely about the money now. the last inspired thing they did was probably Triumph Of Steel. Louder Than Hell wan't bad either. Everything since has been patchy, and the last album was just crap imo.

i'd love to hear them inspired again but i can't see it happening.

@lamentate07 Just because you don't like their newer albums doesn't prove that they're only doing it for the money. Joey would vehemently dispute that claim. Their careers and reputations have ALWAYS been about playing from the heart, not so much about the money. I didn't like GOW either by the way. They're certainly not just in it for the money since they just did a tribute album to Ronnie Dio that the proceeds were given to a cancer charity.

I couldn't find what the dispute was about, so I'm asking you to back your claim with a link. You make an outrageous claim that they're suing rhapsody over their right to play together in a band and I'm asking you to source it...don't make outrageous claims unless you can back it up.

@VitalSigns1 For legal reasons it has never been officialy anounced, but it has been made pretty clear by the band that if the lawsuit goes in Manowar's favor the band is finished. This isn't an outraeous claim, it's common knowlage amoung Rhapsody fans.

Also, the money from that tribute album was going right into Joey Demaio's pocket until there way outrage over it by Dio's familly and fans. Eventually he caved and gave some proceeds to charity to save face.

"The band is finished" for all I know could just mean that Rhapsody quits...You have nothing to back up your claims, so until this lawsuit is settled you shouldn't make speculations about it. Secondly, Joey made the tribute to Dio album as a way of showing respect to his friend and metal brother, as they both grew up in the same county together.

As regards Joey and Dio being "brothers", as Dio's wife said: "Ronnie knew Joey DeMaio, they were not friends." That tribute was an attempt to profit from the death of a metal legand that backfired.

Does that sound like a business idea? No, it doesn't. They care passionately about the music more than the money. Many times in the past they turned down money offers so they could do what they want. It's pointless for you to question their integrity, since everyone who knows the band knows the truth.
