Studies on supplements show that they aren't as beneficial as eating food with vitamins or other nutrients, and in some cases, dangerous. Not long ago many reports of people losing their sense of smell to Zicam flooded the news.
As it turned out, zinc should not be inhaled through the nose as it can cause smell loss. I think that people should be able to take what drugs they want, but they should be able to know the real effects and not be in denial about the reality of the drug in question.
I'm not one to bash mind altering drugs as I partake myself, but I think this video is very misleading about the reality of drugs. Ayahuasca can be toxic. Harmala is an imao inhibitor and can react badly to certain foods and drugs. Plants may have therapeutic properties, especially marijuana for ailments like nausea or pain, however this doesn't mean that plants can't be as dangerous as prescription drugs. They are. To say otherwise is denial. I've had horrible reactions to herbal supplements.
