"Eddie" has been around for a minute; he danced on FAME back in the early 80's and he was in Michael Jackson's video Beat It playing a gang member. As stated below, he looked good on NY Undercover but I don't know about now...
I remember when they were actually here doing a shoot in the church my grand mother use to go to... i don't know if you remember the episode where that dude was going around burning churches down in NY...The last church that he was about to burn before they finally caught him...thats where my grand mother lived at...it was soo cool..i got to meet Malik Yomba down in Harlem i remember when my moms ask where the hell is michael he was crossing the street and said i have no fucking clue lolz
That beat was tight, one of the tightest t.v. show themes from the 90's. It was created by James Mtume, who did "Juicy Fruit" (for all my 80's babies)and later sampled by Notorious B.I.G. "Juicy".
This is another show that should be on DVD along w/the remaing 4 seasons of Living Single and season 5 of Martin.
they also have Si tv that also has another michael delorenzo(eddie) series in it. Its a very good show if yo have si tv, you should watch both. also on Showtime
yea it does come on the sleuth channel I like the musical guest that come on the show it is good music that gives it a certain flava but yea I wanna cop the DVD to greatest show of all time!!!
Nope I remember him doing that, too and also remember him on the show FAME. Ole boys been around for a minute but he was still lookin' good in New York Undercover. I don't know about now, though.
ya. Michael Delorenzo , man, i wish he never got off the show. He made the show.Basecally. The 3rd season was the best. until the last episode of it. i have the dvd and never watch the last one. it makes me sorta sad that Michael isnt on it
Yea when they killed off Eddie, that basically sealed the shows fate to failure. Most writers know you never kill off a main character who is helping the show. I guess these fools did not. Loved the show, Black and Latinos doing good things. Its no surprised they tried to change it.
I miss this show so much, but luckily i can watch it,whenever it comes on , I watched this when i was just a kid! I didn't know they killed eddie off! You guys are making me depressed. Are there any vids out there?
This was a great show, I loved when it 1st came on and thought the character of Eddie Torres was really cool. I liked him especially since I'm Puerto Rican from New York and for me it was the 1st time I had seen a Puerto Rican cop on TV, I was 12 at the time, but with radical parents from the 70's, so they also thought this show was great. I couldn't believe it when they killed Eddie off, the show was never the same after that.
I'm black and I hated the show after they killed Eddie. The show was okay for like the first 2 episodes after he died since they were looking for the bitch that set him up.
I never even watched the show after season 3, not so much because Eddie died but once I saw all the white people they were adding on I was pretty much turned off 2 it. There were enough White Bread shows on TV, they should have left this alone.
Umm I learned to count when you were being potty trained little man...please, ok...that is not a very long time ago...and by the way YOU spell...I wouldnt criticize anybody's counting.
This was my show back in the mid to late 90s. Every Thursday night at 9pm, this show would come on and i'd be right in front of the TV eating dinner and watching this. The good ole days!
And whats the name of the song at the beginning of the epidode: Sympathy for the Devil...? (its the episode where 3 black males are accused of killing a white guy and are seen running from the scene)
intro take me back to the good ole days.

There were only 4 seasons, but you're right about the last season being garbage, after they killed off Eddie. This is probably my favorite TV theme.

Michael Delorenzo (det Eddie Torres) wanted to get off of New York Undercover. He had wanted to be in movies to make more money.
So the writer let him be killed off the show by the end of third season of NYU.
