  • intro take me back to the good ole days.

  • the best show ever!

  • michael de lorenzo looks somewhat like john stamos

  • this cop show was actually interesting

  • bad quality

  • new jack swing , the 90's were the best

  • Man I like this opening song for this show and watched it a lot back in the day when it was on tv

  • Yeah, man.

I just closed my eyes, and I was there back then, shit. Loads of memories it brings back. They should do like a dvd edition or something.

  • "Eddie" has been around for a minute; he danced on FAME back in the early 80's and he was in Michael Jackson's video Beat It playing a gang member. As stated below, he looked good on NY Undercover but I don't know about now...

  • i am so inlove with this music them everytime i hear it it makes me wanna go to new york city soooooo bad omg it is the best them music ever

  • I remember when they were actually here doing a shoot in the church my grand mother use to go to... i don't know if you remember the episode where that dude was going around burning churches down in NY...The last church that he was about to burn before they finally caught him...thats where my grand mother lived at...it was soo cool..i got to meet Malik Yomba down in Harlem i remember when my moms ask where the hell is michael he was crossing the street and said i have no fucking clue lolz

  • this show was the shit

  • in case some of you didnt know the Musical Director was none other than DJ Premier-thats why the music was so gritty and tight...

  • That explains a lot. Thanks

  • This show was my thing, back in the day's

Bring this out on DVD already

The First 3 seasons were the best..

    Season 4 and 5 "GARBAGE""

  • There were only 4 seasons, but you're right about the last season being garbage, after they killed off Eddie. This is probably my favorite TV theme.

  • That beat was tight, one of the tightest t.v. show themes from the 90's. It was created by James Mtume, who did "Juicy Fruit" (for all my 80's babies)and later sampled by Notorious B.I.G. "Juicy".

This is another show that should be on DVD along w/the remaing 4 seasons of Living Single and season 5 of Martin.

  • This beat is SO FREAKIN AWESOME

  • why don't networks play this series anymore it was 1of my favourites ever

  • They do play it everyday.

  • Yep, it's on TV One around 2PM (Eastern Standard Time) or so. Check your local listings.

  • Yeah i'm watching eyewitness blues right now.

  • they also have Si tv that also has another michael delorenzo(eddie) series in it. Its a very good show if yo have si tv, you should watch both. also on Showtime

  • yea it does come on the sleuth channel I like the musical guest that come on the show it is good music that gives it a certain flava but yea I wanna cop the DVD to greatest show of all time!!!

  • Am i the only one that remembers Michael De Lorenzo dancing in MJ "Beat It" video, way befor he did this show??????????

  • Nope I remember him doing that, too and also remember him on the show FAME. Ole boys been around for a minute but he was still lookin' good in New York Undercover. I don't know about now, though.

  • whats the name of the intro anyone know?!

  • It's called "Fight The Crime"

  • ya. Michael Delorenzo , man, i wish he never got off the show. He made the show.Basecally. The 3rd season was the best. until the last episode of it. i have the dvd and never watch the last one. it makes me sorta sad that Michael isnt on it

  • Is NYU on DVD yet?

  • yea. But i go it like a year ago. If you want me to tell you ill have to find the place because it took me forever tofind it and order it.

  • can u find it on ebay

  • no, you can find other stuff, but when i was looking it wasnt on ebay. ill tell you all when i have a chance. ill start looking now.

  • where did u get it from 1fish8 please tell me

  • im looking for it. Im serious tho. its a site it took me months to find. n im grounded right now. but im still looking.

  • Michael Delorenzo (det Eddie Torres) wanted to get off of New York Undercover. He had wanted to be in movies to make more money.

So the writer let him be killed off the show by the end of third season of NYU.

  • Yea when they killed off Eddie, that basically sealed the shows fate to failure. Most writers know you never kill off a main character who is helping the show. I guess these fools did not. Loved the show, Black and Latinos doing good things. Its no surprised they tried to change it.

  • It was a great Urban show. I stopped watching it when they tried to white wash it.

  • This show is now on TV1, it comes on at 4pm on weekdays.

  • I think it also comes on at 1 am as well...

  • NY Undercover was also recently picked up by the Sleuth Channel, it comes on weeknights as 7pm.

  • Best intro song ever!

  • @joemj413

I definitely agree w/ you. A killer piece by Mutume (I think)

  • I miss this show so much, but luckily i can watch it,whenever it comes on , I watched this when i was just a kid! I didn't know they killed eddie off! You guys are making me depressed. Are there any vids out there?

  • This show IS the mid-90's...

What amazing memories of those days...

  • heard that Sleuth will air York Undercover in 2008

  • black and latino together is the power

i've searched everywhere in the net to watch it but nothing

    put more videos please

episode 6 season 3 "kill the noise "

  • This was a great show, I loved when it 1st came on and thought the character of Eddie Torres was really cool. I liked him especially since I'm Puerto Rican from New York and for me it was the 1st time I had seen a Puerto Rican cop on TV, I was 12 at the time, but with radical parents from the 70's, so they also thought this show was great. I couldn't believe it when they killed Eddie off, the show was never the same after that.

  • I'm black and I hated the show after they killed Eddie. The show was okay for like the first 2 episodes after he died since they were looking for the bitch that set him up.

  • I never even watched the show after season 3, not so much because Eddie died but once I saw all the white people they were adding on I was pretty much turned off 2 it. There were enough White Bread shows on TV, they should have left this alone.

  • yep. they ruined it. D;

  • Umm I learned to count when you were being potty trained little man...please, ok...that is not a very long time ago...and by the way YOU spell...I wouldnt criticize anybody's counting.

  • you guys talk like 1996 was 30 years ago or something, lol...I used to watch this show too...always...but it was only less then 10 years ago

  • either u dont know how to count or u dont know wut year we in but '96 was 11 going on 12 years ago

  • season 4 sucks without Torres. DICK wOLF A SAME GUY THAT MADE LAW N ORDER

  • This was my show back in the mid to late 90s. Every Thursday night at 9pm, this show would come on and i'd be right in front of the TV eating dinner and watching this. The good ole days!

  • Urban Menace, The Wrecking Crew, Corrupt,New Jack City, Sugar Hill, New York Undercover, the fineist urban shows ever in the 90s.

  • ay who eva got tha episode wen lil mouse got shot post that one fa me real talk

  • Love this old ones. Torres got killed ?

I know williams got shot by the guy who plays a lawyer in the practice now.

  • 2 questions...

Did Williams find the guy who killed Torres?

And whats the name of the song at the beginning of the epidode: Sympathy for the Devil...? (its the episode where 3 black males are accused of killing a white guy and are seen running from the scene)

  • i was only like 6 wen it came out an we aint have cable an shit so dis all i looked forward 2 u feel me

  • ayo dis theme song do bring back serious memories...dam make a nigga miss da old days

  • I couldn't have agreed with you more :)

  • that song is so ill brings back alot of memories

  • Man.. this is my favorite theme song!!

  • I hope this series is released on DVD.(at least the 1st 3 seasons)

  • I haven't heard this theme song in a while. This was my favorite one.

  • yea, indeed. Was such a great TV show.

  • that was the SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn right. I used to dance to the opening theme.

  • My Favorite Shows intro great show wish it would come back!
