@wasbro1 the only way to tell if AF is overrated is to see if he can prove himself this year. if he can have the same kind of year he had this year, then it would be pretty obvious that he isnt. and when everyone says its all because the blocking, then your right. it is because of the blocking. but thats why teams draft these great blocking OL. just because a RB has a tremendous year because of his blocking, doesnt make him overrated. Without blocking, no RB would have a good season.

Emmitt Smith is the all time leading rusher and everyone knows he's overrated. It wasn't because of his skill that got him that many yards and neither is AF's. They're both good backs but not nearly as good as they're both seen to be by idiots like you.

AF did what he did last ear because of his blocking but it was also because of the way his team can pass the ball. if the texans did not have the passing threat of Andre Johnson and Matt Shaub, then other teams would play up on him.

If a running back has no pass game, then he will be facing 8 men in the box. running backs are not good without a good O-Line. Name 3 backs that are good without a good O-Line

Like I said in my first comment, there are at least six backs better than him in the league. These guys nearly always have 8 in the box and they don't have nearly as good blocking as Arian Foster's. He's overrated.

2) Jones-Drew: He is on again off again.
3) Williams: Was only good up until 3 years ago when the passing game was great in Carolina.
4) Jackson: I'll give you tht one.
5) Johnson: Had his best years when good passing game.
6) Turner: Has an incredible passing team
AF makes a lot of quick cuts. He is also capable of taking the ball outside and has great vision. He is a very quick back.

He can't create runs from scratch like those other backs. And he isn't quick and most definitely isn't fast. He gets caught from behind all the time. How can you say Arian fosters better than McFadden? Watching most of these runs, it's the O-line and fullback doing all the work. Besides look at what McFadden has to work with... Probably the WORST O-line last season and a fullback that is a better receiver than a blocker. I like Arian foster but there's no way he's better than McFadden.

Arian Foster is overrated. the only reason why he put up those numbers are because 1.) the O-line opened up some pretty good holes and 2.) every defense were more concerned about the pass attack of the texans so they couldn't stack the box against foster. If you put chris johnson, jamaal charles, or even darren mcfadden on the texans they would probably have better numbers. not trying to hate just saying my opinion. arian foster=good but not great

this is what i don't understand when people talk about Foster like you are and i'm an Eagles fan so no bias. yeah a player can be overrated, but he led the league in rushing yards and the next closest RB was 150 yards behind, he also led the league in rushing TDs the next closest RB was 3 TDs behind. so you really think if McFadden was put in his position it would make that much of a difference for McFadden's stats? it wouldn't. Arian Foster is the 2nd RB behind Adrian Peterson.

@killarabbit92 You can say that about any back, you can easily say that about Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans its the ability to make plays with the ball, don't look at how he runs through the holes, look at how he cuts back and goes into holes that have more than 1 opening. Its the intelligence of a ball carrier not the stats or the yards. Sure the defense is more concerned with the pass because of Andre Johnson but that's the whole point of having multiple weapons on a team. Hater.

@killarabbit92 I disagree. he put up real good numbers the first two games he started at the end of 2009. he showed his talent, but remained underrated coming into 2010. he has great vision, and proved that he belongs in the upper echelon of backs. hes more complete that cj, with a body and skill set comparable to AP (not saying hes better than AP, but that his body type, vision, and intangibles are comparable). the only backs i think are better are jamaal charles and AP.
