I mean the duel makes no sense because the rules of the duel seem to be dictated by this guy "trapping duel spirits". He traps Pegasus before the duel starts and then uses it to decrease Jesse's life points? And what the hell is this "killing duel spirits to increase my deck's power" thing? Increase it HOW?

I preferred it back in the original Yu-Gi-Oh when at least there was a solid plot to make up for the fact the actual game made no sense.

This makes no sense. Why would Judai risk his life to save a jerry bean's man? It's a common card, and you can get it for cheap, and how could weak vanilla duel spirits kill a man? The monsters are gokibore, one at 8:18 at the bottom right which I forgot who, petit angel, thunder kid, key mace, and watapon.
