At the time I was living in Seligman. We didn't lose power.

Washburn lost power for half a day, Cassville for 2 days, Purdy for 2 weeks, Monett for a week, etc.

i agree no school but in my town the power did not go out

ya that was a pain went with out lights for a week

had fun missing school though

this was probably the only time springfield didnt light the night sky It was pitch black at night

It was very scary - You could look outside and just see flashes of transformers blowing. Also it was so very eerie listening to the trees pop, snap and fall to the ground. Some of the noises were very loud. I thought for sure a tree was going to come thru house. We were w/o power for 7 days - cable/internet almost 2 weeks
