there is no prostitution,three girls from my country went to dubai and agency (bad agency) told them that they will recive visas on dubais airport , one of them did but other two didnt , and they didnt left them to dubai cause of prostitution either they wasnt prostitutes!

Wow, this looks like an amazing city! Very otherwordly and positively strange compared to what I'm used to. I'd love to see it in person. Everything looks new and clean, which is odd for such a seemingly large city. It's very "Desperate Housewives in the city". The architecture looks state-of-the-art. Incredible!

Its great that Dubai is diversifying, itll make a big name for itself when that huge 200+ floor building is finished. Most of my friends, even here in nyc never head of dubai or emirates and those who have think of it negatively b/c a few years back a dubai company bought all the ports here and the politicians were stepping over each other to be the first to denounce your place as some terrorist haven...gawd i hate american politicians.

Delpiero why I have to wait 5 years? What will happen in 5 years? Dubai will still be an artificial city in the desert, full of dust and depending on cars, because people haven't enough public transportation. They could build solar powered water distillation plants, they could build energy efficient buildings to reduce climatization costs. But no, they say lets burn our cheap oil. Oh I hate waste. It makes the place unsympathizing.

I can't see buses or trains. What do the people who cannot pay a car? Why all these apartment towers? 5 miles away there is so much space in the desert. Family houses with garden are much more confortable!

Some people are writing really stupid comments on here,its so funny! There is a huge demand 4 these buildings in Dubai, its 1 of the fastest growing economys in the world alongside India and China. Building in the desert would be stupid and pointless, not only is it probably 10-15 degrees hotter than along the coastline it has no provisions for water/sewage. There is thousands of houses on the outskirts of the central district with gardens and space. U have created an amazing City.

They're building all these huge office buildings, but what's it going to house? Are there so many companies there? Is it residential? Are it oil companies? Oil is not an everlasting resource, what will happen without the oil? All abandoned buildings?

A majority of the buildings will house residents along with businesses.

One reason for the massive construction is when the oil does run out, and it will, Dubai will have a strong economy and infrastructure in other sectors. They have the money now to prepare for the future.
