  • i searched for part 1 for 10mins before watching this

  • Part one has been posted by VoteForFreedom.

  • Why has youtube blocked part 1? Did Rupert Murdock buy the site?!

  • Where is #1? Why people, why? Are we not all adults? Childish to play such games.

  • Wind energy, plain and simple, tell me the drawbacks? are there any other than the fucked up few who think wind towers are "Ugly". I think they're beautiful personally, but even if you do think their ugly, just think about the fact that your getting energy from a source the planet already provides. Wind and solar energy are the two best options we have. Electric cars have potential, the first carbon combustion engines we're nothing to brag about,.. real positive change takes time.

  • I'm a strong supporter of Ron Paul, but was disappointed to hear him speak positively about nuclear energy, which I believe is made possible in this country by the Price-Anderson Act, which relieves nuclear power plants from liability for accidents. I'm sure Ron believes that ALL energy should stand in a free market, bearing the full cost and responsibility. Under this true free market system, renewable energy would be a slam dunk.

  • Nuclear Power Plants of today are far more secure than the ones made 30 years ago. It actually is a very clean efficient power. If we are serious about clean power than we will adapt hybrid/electric cars running off of the power of the combination of wind/solar/nuclear/hydro power. Watch the Penn and Teller episode, it's funny, informative, and there are boobs.

  • I think Ron believes that we need to depoliticize energy, and let all stand on the same footing. All energy sources should be priced according to their actual cost and impact, not based on how many lobbyists they have. Look into the Price-Anderson Act, and then ask whether nuclear energy would survive in a true free market. I can't imagine that it would, if you consider the risks (who will insure them?) and the waste (who will guarantee safe storage for thousands of years?).

  • Are we living "censored lives"?

  • Several states including FL, SC and Iowa are planning to move their state Primaries to early December 2007 in order to prevent Ron Paul from garnering enough support financially and geographically. GOP Primaries are generally held on EVEN numbered years and it's not a mere coincidence that changes are being initiated and that Ron Paul just so happens to be running.

  • OBVIOUSLY WE DO NOT HAVE TO BE TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THAT....YES! THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES. and dammit..they work...SNORKLING ANYONE??

  • YouTube has blocked part 1 of this series for " inappropriate content" (which is pure bull)...

They're trying to censor anything that is pro-freedom and that has to do with Truth. Don't be surprised if they remove ALL of the Ron Paul videos and suspend my account.

  • I watched part one before this.

  • Repost it..the part 1...please

  • Imus? Imus had negligible fallout among his listeners. He was censored by a government agency and political pressure to his employers.

  • I think Imus was fired because they wanted to opt him out of contract and they caught him on something and took it out of context.

  • Speaking of alternative energies...check out teslamotors. com

maybe it isn't the final solution, but all electric, recharges in household outlets, 0-60 in 4sec, and freakin' beautiful

  • That plus Nuclear Energy plants are the way of the future for a clean efficient way to get us away from oil dependancy from the middle east

  • The free market is a beautiful thing, and I'm a die-hard capitalist all the way, but I agree that there has to be SOME level of government restriction, for one reason: like socialism or communism, the ideal of the unrestricted free market kind of runs on a really optimistic vision of society, where everybody is thinking critically about which companies are benefical or harmful to society, and nobody's going to use their wealth to gain political influence.

  • Peak oil approaches. With "black gold" being a non-renewable resource, pollution from that flank will be moot in the not too distant future. The real issue is how and when are we going to focus on practicable alternatives.

  • I love his honesty...but he still doesn't have my vote. He pretends that the free market would solve everything, when that's not the case. Discrimination, pollution, etc. can not be solve by a free market. A free market makes these problems worse.

  • If we had a free market and didn't subsidize oil it might cost us a lot more per gallon at the pump instead of paying in taxes we don't see. That would solve your pollution problem really quick because people might be forced or allowed to change. Also you can still make laws, but he doesn't support paying businesses with taxpayers money in order to achieve the results. This manipulates the market and creates parasites like big oil, which yanks our chain all the time.

  • Ah, but the free market makes it BETTER. If a company started to discriminate, people won't work for/buy from them. If people care enough about reducing pollution and saving money at the gas pump, the free market will make alternatives and hybrids more accessable. Free market all the way, the people will decide.

  • If that was true, then most of these business that existed before 1964 would not exist.

And alternatives and hybrids technology are not new. Big Oil Companies that lobby these congressman makes it harder for new technologies to succeed. I don't see how the "free market" would change that!

  • because congressman would be taken out of the equasion.

because the states will choose to fund alternative fuels rather than a centralised government picking what to spend the taxpayers money on. You're right, hybrids/alternatives aren't new, but if we continue to have a centralized socialist government rather than a republic than we're becoming un-american.

  • I just watched part one before this ?

  • "If a company started to discriminate, people won't work for/buy from them."

    For example: Imus.

  • Free market can not regulate polution there needs to be a tax on that!

  • Why tax? Why not just make a rule, a state law, which sets certain standards. Then the market will carry the cost and pass it off to consumers without some weird government funding. If someone comes up with a cheaper method then the market can change quickly as needed instead of being tied down by government funding schemes.

  • Dear Dr.Paul, Hello community

I also believe in a free market theory but not when it comes to destroying the envirement. Your answer on renewable energies lacks a bit of quality to me, because there might be enough oil left for us to wreck our planet.

I still think your the best of any candidates so far.

  • Wisest is he who knows he knows nothing. Congress can't make complicated environmental decisions. No government can. We need to stop pretending they can and let the market take care of it. Ron Paul 2008!!

  • hmmm...

noninterventionist foreign policy on the one hand but TOTAL faith in the free market on the other... would be nice to see the WTO, NAFTA, etc gone but I still won't be able to afford health insurance (but I'm sure universal coverage isn't going to happen no matter who is elected).... Why must there be tradeoffs? Why can't he just be perfect!? >_<

SO FAR he has my vote

  • we also have the best doctors and hospitals in the world...hmmmm....yes, i think there is a better way than socialized medicine.

  • Ron, Ron, Ron. Stop telling us what we "could do" and start saying "I will do".

  • That's valid criticism. People like to see a president who's assertive & a good leader for our country. I suppose "we could do" has both its positive & negative implications. On one hand, it kind of leaves things to chance; "this may or may not happen." On the other hand, it's an invitation for the country to deal with issues more democratically, instead of just letting the president do whatever he wants. I agree with him on this point: if the attitude isn't there, certain things won't happen.

  • true that. But he doesn't give himself a chance if he doesn't start presenting himself differently. The cuteness and sarcasm need to go. Remember, this is the guy who is going to have to meet with world leaders and manage the military actions we are involved with at this time. You've got to have some game. I hope he has some, and starts running on it since he is one of the few statesmen that will take the country in the right direction on nearly every front.

  • "Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer he knows well the need of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country."

    -Ronald Reagan

  • Well, he did mention on the first part the fact that military is ill-equiped. That probably means he would do something about it if he is elected.

  • He'd make it more equipped for national security and would make it smaller. He'd do this by bringing home the troops. Pretty simple really.

  • Take care of our veterans! Ron Paul consistently votes against government spending, but not against spending for our veterans.
