I found a real easy way of killing that bitch. I shot out the light right near the door when you walk in before the cutscene started and then ran back there after she started coming at me. If you crouch and hide when you run back there near the door, she wont come into the shadows to find you, allowing to sneak up behind her and begin cutting her up good.

This isn't the end of the game. You only beat half of the game at this point. You continue the planet that Riddick crashed on with his escape pod and then you go back to the Dark Athena later for some unfinished business.

He's not an ass, He's Riddick. Think about it: Where he is going, it will probably be much more dangerous. On the Dark Athena, there are plenty of hiding spots, and it's dark (Hence the name.) Neither option was great, but he chose the better one. (Odds are, she would have died from the impact by that missile, as it looked like there was only one seat.)
