Halo is a joke compared to Tribes. The Tribes sequel was supposed to be great, but they sold out to the eye candy crowd. Just like Halo, it was supposed to be this really in depth cool multiplayer game. Instead its just another Quake/UT clone with jeeps.

It's still good. I guess it's the age old 'gameplay vs graphics'. Tribes 1 and 2 definitely don't have have the graphics of Halo 3 etc., but they make up for it in gameplay.
@TheOmniVan Ya? Higher quality graphics don't automatically slot a game into the 'better' category. Tribes Vengeance is an excellent example of this. It has wayyy better graphics than tribes 1, but I'm sure that most people would agree that Tribes 1 is more fun to play.
You need to look at the actual game instead of being a 'release whore' that constantly touts the latest game, whether it's actually better or not.
Tribes is a really good game, Halo doesnt beat it.

This takes me way back 8) I used to play the first tribes. When it died I played Tribes 2. Sad that they don't support the game anymore. You don't have to script to be this good, especially with a mortar. If you play enough and learn the routes cappers take, and can judge where they are going. Your mortars Area damage will do the rest. But there are alot of amazing shots in here 8) Thanks for the vid. I loved playing heavy.

OH MY GOD!!! I still play Tribes 2 (with 16 bots, me and my friend are trying to get lan working) and I can never seem to hit someone with the mortar without 2 or 3 shots, let alone a flag capper in mid air with just one shot! Way to go auto x!
... oh, that game?! i played it when i was little and i could never get past the gecko(?), or the transforming tank boss on the third stage! i like the way the bosses would taunt u in german.
3 midair kills,Nice Motar Sniping!. I hope to challenge you one day with just motars, because ive also had my fair share of mid-air and regular motar kills.(Im one of the best when it comes to motar or motar sniping,[Peace:)].)
pubbing means playing on a public server for fun, like Rebels Katabatic. PU = pick up game. scrim = scrimmage against another team, match = official game against another team
Still watching in 2011, and it owns all Tribes/Halo games ( tribes2 )
