@nicolausala From Right to Left in the 227e , first sound you hear is a 259 , second , a 261e , and the third and fourth , 259e. With enough gates and vca's everything is happening in real time. Hope this helps. Joe
@elektriksofa Hello. Everything you hear is created on the Buchla in real time. In my opinion , you can possibly create similar sounds , but not exactly these sounds. To my ears , the Buchla is quite unique. Thank you for your nice comments. Joe
why don't any of you modular wizards record direct in?.... camera mics are horrible, absolutely dreadful quality.... It really takes away like 40% of the experience for me at least.....
@KaslarProductions I have begun doing this with the last video I posted (259e Movie) and will continue to do it in the future , as I agree the sound quality is much better. Thanks for watching.
HEAVY!! oh my goooddd i am in love with your buchla vids. the quality of the sounds that come out of these buchla synths are just incomparable with most synth patches i've ever heard.
My god there is just so much richness to the sound of the Buchla. Ive never heard anything like it from any other modular. Even in youtube quality it frequently blows me away compared to videos of other modulars/non modular synths. Gongratulations on your purchase! Good choice!
So, Im not so certain about modular synths. Can you tell me exactly what sound projection device this is running into? Amp? Mixer -> speakers? Thanks!
I have an Access Virus A, and that just goes out of a 1/4 inch cable jack lol.
@azombiestool Hi. The output of the Buchla 200e is also 1/4 phone jacks. That is , as long as you order the 227e module. If you don't have a 227e module in the system , you could use the output of the 292e which is a voltage controlled amplifier. In this example , the output of the 200e goes to the apogee converter then into the computer.
it's actually a combination of both , the room adds its own touch , and here i am using a bit of "space designer" in logic. one of my favorite reverbs. :)
Actually , most of what you hear is the 259e , and 261e. The only sound from a non-200e osc. is the very first sound you hear in channel 4. That is the 259.
What the fuuuuuuckk..... I completely agree with
"wearereplicants" this is pretty fucking great. If you distorted this all with a Freqbox i bet it'd sound pretty mean.

Very cool percussive sounds! Are those two Zeroscillators I see there?
arthurpainter 6 months ago
@arthurpainter Thanks for the nice comment. No , there are no ZO's here. I think what you are seeing is a Buchla 259 oscillator. Cheers.

this is the best thing I have ever heard come out of a buchla. and I fucking love buchlas.

@nicolausala Hi. Can you state you're question in a different form? I am not quite sure what you are asking. Thank you.
hyperguy61 7 months ago
@hyperguy61 sorry. i can't figure out where the sound came from because it is polyphonic. but in the end of the video i see you use the 227!!!

hello Hyperguy
what we hear is only generated by Buchla we see?
I have a question, do you think you can create these sounds on a EURORACK?
congratulations, a nice way of using the Buchla

Very nice rhythmics. Just perfectly melodic and glitchy patterns. A thumping drum pattern would make this a perfectly rounded hit!

I thought for a second there they were saying Joel Zimmerman.... Deadmau5. Would be fitting as he uses a lot of this style of sound.

It's melodic, it's percussive, no wonder they call it the electronic music box!
