  • Great lighting! Really sets the mood!

  • Nothing wrong with the pacing..in swing/big band music e.g Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin (for guys) they are annoying slow for male vocalists to follow. There is some serious Delay. In Chicago the movie theres a bit of delay...any its SOO important to follow the pace, otherwise it sounds strange with the talking in between. Nothing wrong with being just like the original i always say!

  • wow, I thought this would be awkward (seeing Princess Traci sing like this) but this was great!

Lovely singing and that ending was to die for - so good :)

I love that look at the camera at 3:08 when Amos is talking. Wonderful!

  • Very good! Although I'm gonna have to say, it seemed a bit too pop for me at times, so maybe instead of hitting some of those notes like in a pop song, maybe try opening up a bit more? It might give it even more of a jazzy, mature sound quality.

This is of course not to say that you don't have a beautiful voice. Which you do :) Keep at it!

  • There is little difference between original and her song. She gets tip of my hat

  • your amazing ... your MY idol

  • P.S. I don't even LIKE this song that much in the film. It's probably one of my very least favorites. You brought it to life for me as even the amazing Renee Zellweger couldn't.

  • BRILLIANCE. Sheer BRILLIANCE. Personally, if I could play Roxie or Velma, it'd be Velma all the way, but I can tell how much you love Roxie: you just SPARKLE in a way I don't think I've seen you do in any of your other videos. You're always magnificent, don't get me wrong, but most of your "character" covers are imitations: spot-on ones, but imitations nonetheless. Here, you're not YOU, & you're not Renee...you're ROXIE. I especially love the line, "Well I'll know who brought the twine!" xD

  • Very cute!

  • very good tone

  • Aaaaand now you actually look like Renee Zellweger. HOW. :D

  • I'm trying out for Chicago: the Musical, and came across this. Beautiful!

  • this song is perfect for you

  • this is exactly your style of music. you are wonderful. im sure you will make it big one day. and if you dont there is something wrong with people. wonderful job(:

  • Great job! I liked it (:

may I ask you where you found that karaoke version with amos' voice? I can't find it anywhere!

  • she's got the look... but i don't think she's right for the part... not that she's auditioning though. i like the versatility though. she's does her thing.

  • awesome :)

  • i like it i like it alot but singit with like more rage like when she hears him shes like OH SHIT! so yeah try it out

  • wow, you have a really amazing voice lol :).

  • I love you and I'm so glad you did this song.

  • awesome!

  • I'll admit my hopes weren't EXTREMELY high when I heard your voice, you've got an adorable speaking voice that makes me think more of you singing in things like You're A Good Man Charlie Brown or Suessical, but you've got a very jazzy voice perfect for this musical and I must definitely look at some of your other videos. You're a perfect Roxie :D

  • your voice is amazing <3

  • OMG!! thats amazin :O I played Roxie In my actin school n I was no way near as good as that!! xx Amazin <3

  • Traci....This is one of your best videos! :) I love CHICAGO, and this fit you perfectly...you need to be a STAR! Check out my Channel also, fellow vocalist! WhoIzDeejayYoung

    DeejayYoung ;)

  • You are amazing!! I love Chicago too , it's one of my favorite musicals , next to Les miserables and wicked!!

  • really fantastic!

    great job ;)

  • you really have an amazing voice and more than that, you have just the right attitude! you really feel what you're singing. BUT. don't try to act with your hands, if you choose to sing this song on a chair. it's too much and at the same time not enough. but you have talent, without doubt, i'd advice you to same some acting, theater lessons, it would be really useful. broadway is not just a joke with your talent. don't give up! -by the way i'm an actress, i really know what i'm saying.

  • why arent you on broadwayy?!?!??! :0

  • good job! ur really pretty too!!!

  • Terrible actress, good singer.

  • not trying to be rude but in my honest opinnin it was bad. Not good. sorry

  • look at those moles!!!! eeek! :O

  • @IkkleMissMuffin birthmarks, dude, dont be jealous of their adorableness!

  • cute, but out of time in a few places x

  • i really like this!

  • yeah i can hear the pop in your voice too ! it's not bad like someone said, :)

    is that a wig ? :O

  • a bit flat at some parts, but it was very nice! ^^

  • great voice :0

  • don't take this the wrong way, but stick to princess stuff.

You're just too sweet for a show like this. lol

  • Wow you have a great stage voice, really strong and pretty, but you might want to watch the scooping and vibrato for this part like the others say.

But seriously, you got some pipes ;)

  • Wow...I wish you had been cast in the film instead of Renee. You are cute as a button, but more importantly, you can sing...for real. However, I agree that there's something very pop-ish about your phrasing. Not saying it's bad, btw. But maybe you should also try pop music...

  • Wow... you are good! keep up!

  • Waaaaaay too over the top except for the ending where it needed it :(. You can have something great there, but I agree with the others. Pull back the vibrato and ESPECIALLY if you're going to dress the part for the video, ACT the part. If you do that then I think you'll have something really special. I hope to see a new version soon and remember-constructive criticism is better than none at all (that means at least lots of folks are watching;)

  • re-record it... the tempo is way off.

  • you need to show more emotion instead of your skill, and you went of an on tempo but other wise yeah pretty good =]

  • hunn, i loved it. You should get into stage buisness

  • Isn't the version in the book an octave higher?

  • Simply perfect! :)

    5/5

  • The girl got to sing. In a hot minute.

  • You have a great voice! I agree on the vibrato.

    Keep it up!

  • omg..u have a great voice..;x;x;..luv it!!where is renee to see uuu..:))..:D

  • You have a great voice. You do go overboard on the vibrato, but overall it was good. Nice voice.

  • You really do have a wonderful voice! I mean that with the highest respect. Your main focus needs to be on breathe support. Always practice standing & breathe deeply so that your lower abdomen swells with every phrase(breathe)! It will help you sustain those longer notes in performances where you may not always be standing & you'll find that the vibrato sounds softer because you won't be forcing yourself through the notes. Also, don't let yourself get too ahead of the instramental track. =)

  • nice voice. =)

  • you're really good! i really like your voice.

  • wow. I'm becoming your fan now! great job.

  • heres a tip i loved it but try less vibrato on longer notes

  • Wow you looked the part! definately... I feel the song didn't suit your voice though

  • Easily the best voice I've ever heard on youtube.

    so individual, rich and expressive.

This really made me smile :)

  • you have a really original voice have u tried r'n'b or pop stuff!

  • you did really well, traci =]

i've always wanted to play Roxie, too! this is my favorite song

  • a bit too exaggerated

  • obviously you don't know anything about stage acting.

  • obviouslyyou dont know what an opinion is

  • Well, you do have to be bigger and flashier in most musicals, especially from the era that Chicago came out of. But opinions are opinions, but I think we can agree that she did a good job.

  • True. Some things look different on youtube than they do on stage though. She does have an awesome voice. Very jazzy nice razzmatazz!

  • well done, i quite enjoyed it!

  • Oh I do agree with you!

  • love how u get in to role and take on the look for all your videos

  • Hey. I think you are super good at singing.

and hopefully you will make it to broadway hopefully sometime soon. haha keep singing your really good at it.

  • Omg i love it!!! my high school's doing Chicago as our spring musical! and im in the chorus but i love it!! we just started rehersals but its some of the most fun i've had!

  • woops, thought it didn't post the first time. X]

  • I've been looking for a copy of this song that has amos, the detective and the announcers voice but not roxie's. Your video is the first copy I've seen that has the men but not roxie, where could I find a copy of this music?

  • Hey I'm wondering where you got this copy of music from. I'm looking for a soundtrack that has the announcer, amos and the detective voices but no roxie. I can't seem to find it anywhere except your video, Where could I download this from?

  • i like your hair

  • You're an incredible singer ^^ One comment though--and I'm hardly in a place to critize, but..--I've noticed at parts you use excessive vibrato, and it's sort of distracting from you're awesome voice. Try singing a note without vibrato for the most part, and jsut add a little bit near the end. That's all I have to say--other than that, you're a really great Roxie! =]

  • you are pretty much the most talented youtube singer on here!! You're like my idol lol I want to be on broadway one day and I get great tips from watching you sing! Keep doing it Tracy!

  • i prefer to see you as a disney princess! :D

  • I think you are wonderful!!!I love to see you as ROXIE!!!

  • this is just a little bit of a pet peeve of mine, but i've been looking through a lot of your videos and it really bothers me when you don't pace properly and you get ahead or behind the music like at the end here. i'm guessing it's just because you're really 'getting into it' and just kind of going on your own tempo for it, but i find it to be really annoying and it takes the enjoyment out of the piece for me.

  • wow! sorry. to be honest, i made this before i had good speakers and had to play the track out of my computer speakers....i couldn't hear the track very well and the louder i sing (like at the end) the harder it is to hear...plus i have a hearing loss on top of it! so im sorry it bugs you but i'll try to be more aware of it next time...

  • It's cute =)

  • i'm just being blunt.

all singers have fans and haters :D

if they don't hate you're not doing it right.

  • haha.

    thats awesome. (-:

  • ass!

  • OMFG YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!

  • oh and also, no offence but the thing you do.. the like yodelling thing.. yeah.

    (that funny honey of min-ne-ne-ne-ne-neeeee)..

other than that you could be in bway.

  • your amazing (:

one question though.. are you puttingon an accent?

I think you could go far!

  • You 've got talent , are you actress?

  • Not sure I like the blonde Traci...

Is blonde seriously your natural colour?!

Woah... I would never have known...

  • Nicely done, can i ask you where you got the instrumental without the lyrics?

  • Hey Traci! Great job. You really play the part well, beautiful voice and you'd make a great Roxie. If you like the movie you should get the original West End or Broadways recordings. Ruthie Henshall in particular does a lot with the song and seems to have more fun with it than Renee. Great film though.

    Peace x

  • omg, that song is on mi top 3 favorites songs ever, and your version is something i wasn't expecting, you're great, i bet if chicago producers see this video, you're gonna fly to the stars and stay there.

  • you are an amazing singer and you do what all good musical theatre actors do. act with your voice! dont hold back on the 'cheese' its brilliant!

  • I have been cast as Roxie in my school's production of Chicago and I am looking to your Roxie and Natalie Ellis's to make the character perfect. You are truly inspiring thank-you.

  • wow well done hunni, you are awesome and your voice is soo powerful :) x

  • Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Good job!!! Nice hair and acting. Just too bad the sound is distorting at the end, but I guess in the high quality version it doesn't do that?

  • dude i love your hair :D

you look awesome with red hair too.

and your singing is amazing..i'm jealous:(

  • wow....You sang incredible...I bet you could play Roxie no doubt!

    Go, Girl!! =)

  • lol wut?

  • Smashing!

  • are u singed? cuz u shud be! yr absolutly incredible!!!!! yr r like my IDOL girl!!!

    Ali xxx

  • I wish I were haha. Thank you SO MUCH for your support! <3

  • You sound incredible in this song! (Well, you always sound amazing, but this is just mind-blowing!) I'll keep my eyes open at Barnes & Noble for your first CD!!!

  • Great job!

And, NOOO what happened to your Ariel hair?!

    :(

(Is the blonde your real hair color?)

  • Aww haha. Don't worry-this is a wig, but yes blonde is my natural color. ^^

  • Ack, thank goodness.

Your Ariel hair is too awesome.

    ;D

  • Really great voice ! <3<3

  • Thank you so much!!!

    <3

  • Excelent!!

  • Wow! Thank you!

  • awesome!!

  • thank you! XD

  • hey! i'm on the national tour of "chicago" and one thing that was a specific direction was that there was very little vibrato in the 1920s (when the show took place). i know that someone mentioned it (that you should have more or something like that) but don't worry about it. sing it straight and loud and proud! :)

  • Are you SERIOUSLY on the tour? Holy freakin cow no way!!!! Then you are my hero. I am extremely jealous haha. ^^ Congrats!!!! Thank you so much for the comment. (-:

  • Ok that's it....we're doing all the Chicago duets! hehehe....BFF FOREVER!

  • Sweeeeeeeet! I'm down! Haha.

    <3

  • Wow this is great stuff I think I've watched nearly all of your vids and their just fab I'd love to be as good a singer as you! Your hair rocks btw! Em the only controversial thing I'll say is that I think you could have been a bit more pissed at the end though! It was great, I'm probably just being picky!

  • Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments! (And thanks so much for being kind with the constructive crtiticism-that's totally fine! I know I need some work! Haha). You are awesome! Thank you so much for watching my videos!

    xoxo

  • Aw Thanks!No probs!

Cant wait to see you on Broadway/West End!

  • aw I'd love to see you play Roxie! You'd be great!!!! I prefer your voice to Renee's. Her voice isn't as trained as yours is. :)

  • WOW thank you SOOOO MUCH!!!

  • hahaha, omg, you can act and sing!!!

    such a broadway star.

and you are way better than renee!

omg, you are made for musical!

  • you are amazing! i'm gonna suscribe to you!

  • THANK YOU! I really appreciate it!

    xoxo

  • woooow, you can really really sing better than renee! greeeeeeat job!

  • WOW thank you so much!!!

  • work on vibrato control.

but otherwise, well done! you look a lot like Renee, and you've got some really good acting spots in there!

  • hey thanks so much!

  • 0.0....OHMYGOD!! YOUR SUPER GOOD!! 5stars!! XD

  • aww thank you so much!!!

i really appreciate your wonderful comment and awesome rating!!!

  • haha thanks!

    (it's a wig)

    (-;

  • u r so good at this song

  • thank you so much!

  • I think your voice is sweet but... this is not good at all!! Sorry. And also you make weird things to try to make it nicer but... i don't like it! You're more like a country singer.

  • your comment confused me...but thanks at least for saying i have a sweet voice.

  • Sounds Great!!!!! Awesomness!!!!

  • thanks!!!

  • definatley send off this one

    yu performed this better x

  • thanks! i actually already used the other one...i got more positive responses from it, but i am so glad you liked this one! thank you so much!

  • why would you say something like that to someone? seriously?

  • Nice compliment.......very constructive. I bet she is way better then you.........and I'd like to see you put videos of yourself singing on here like this......it's already 5 stars given to her for having the courage to read comments like yours.

  • thanks for stickin up! ^^

  • you have a good voice but your not a jazz singer which is what chicago is pretty much all about. try something else. nice attempt though.

  • um...ok.

  • I would see you in another song... but this one... I don't know... you're voice is higher...

I just got the impression sometimes in the song, that you sang it a bit too innocent...

Cause roxy says in that song, how she loved to take advantage of Amus, and that she got pissed, when he didn't want to play along...

I had more the impression that you actually were in love with him... and not liking him only for the part that he never says no and that he is so easily manipulated...

  • interesting...

  • I didn't mean to offend...

I just tried to post my opinion... :S

  • that's ok. you weren't mean! it was fine. it was actually a very well thought out comment. ^^ just not exactly what i'd like to hear, haha, but hey...ya can't win em all!

  • I'm happy you didn't take it the bad way ^^

  • nah...

    ^^

  • very good. i love you're voice x

  • aw thanks!

  • no problem :)

  • Not bad, I'm a big fan of Broadway and you really pulled this off well.

  • thanks! <3

  • Ermm... its okay..

    a bit medioke...

your a bit too amateur to make it broaday or west end though.

you sort of need to look inbetween the lyrics.

you said u loved renne zellweger? well look at her performance of the song..she really captures the emotion.

    good try though.

  • k...

  • I love Chicago =)

    Great performance by you!

  • thank you!

  • You Have a GREAT voice

    X

    X

    ummmm....were you unpleasantly surprised then?

Hmm....Ariel, Amy Adams, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Minnie Driver, Hayley Williams.......

Chris Crocker...never gotten that one before!
