You can't build an economy on importing cheap goods and exporting good jobs, and our version of globalization has more to do with that than anything else.

When will these people stop distorting the facts!!! This crisis was not caused by laissez-faire economics! It was caused by government regulation. Read up on NAFTA (govt. managed trade don't be fooled by the misnomer), Community re-investment act, the so called "de-regulation" or the reagan years which really only regulated more for the benefits of big corporations. I am so sick of this propaganda by keynsian economists. Austrian economist have been predicting this mess would come yrs before.
