There are so many people that talk terribly about this theme... And yet, this one, imo, is up to the level of the original in Street Fighter 2. This one is SO prestigious and amazing.  I actually dislike the Street Fighter 4 version, but this one is spot on.

@Christoph7011 Oh yeah I completely agree! This theme shouts to me Ryu's dedication towards becoming stronger, and it also makes me feel hella more motivated to become better at the game as well. I would definitely run to this song as well. Like Ryu always says it, "I must train harder!".

@GrandTheftChocobo I actually kinda take back about what I said about the SSF4 version, I like them all. Every version that was made by Capcom, and some fan-made. The thing is, I might have to just adopt Ryu's lifestyle; the will to never stop training, the engagement of the other foe, just because of the fight. To not destroy, but to defeat and achieve my own victory (as Gouken says in SSF4). So, this more ecstatic version gives me the adrenaline I need for training and exercising. =)

@B4ULoveShine If you're talking about this one from Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, then maybe you and I have different tastes, also, people have different tastes in themes. You can't say one of them is the best and go with it. Only if you were the creator of said theme songs, only if you were the SOLE proprietor of the theme songs; then, may you say that this or another theme song of Ryu's was better. And I honestly, I changed my mind about SF4's theme, it actually is quite enjoyable

But listen to the quality of this one and then SF4 you find this one more prestigious and thought out. See, ever since (His name keeps escaping me, forgive me if I get it wrong I believe it's) Hideki. Left the capcom sound team, their music went to shit. (For main example look at the SF3 online edition on SerenityWind's channel)

@jjchaosreigns It's cultivating Ryu's nostalgic journeys as a solitary martial artist from Street Fighter 2. I am no compliant to this particular song's creator, I was more so comparing it to the general cache of other Ryu's themes. That being said, I don't believe Capcom has lost ALL of it's musical luster. Then again, that depends when Hideki left the Capcom sound team. But, I've said this before, I LIKE the SF4 version now, in fact, I look all the versions of this very theme.

@jjchaosreigns I reacted when I first heard those lackluster sounds that were the preconceptions of the Third Strike themes. I dislike them, verily. Akuma's theme is such a disappointment in Third Strike: Online Edition, why did that theme need to be infused with ... Dubstep? It was fine the way it was. In fact, I find Akuma's theme, "Killing Moon", to be like... His second best theme of all the Street Fighter games, including crossover titles. I see what you're saying as well.

@jjchaosreigns I've liked Akuma's theme in almost every game he's featured in. Well, every game that was made by Capcom, plus, some fan-made Akuma remixes; there's actually legitimate dubstep Akuma themes out there, you just need to dig in the vast majority of crap. I can't seem to get over Akuma's theme from Alpha 1 because it was directly referred to for MvC3's Akuma's theme AND Evil Ryu's SSF4AE theme, WHICH, I love the most, as a theme. Evil Ryu... Can't say anything else about that one.

@Christoph7011 Well Evil ryu's new theme is a nice remix, it's good to see him in a newer more modern game. e did share a theme with Garuda though I'm surprised "Stronger" wasnt his new theme. As for Akuma I've always held his Shin Akuma themes more Higher. I dont know why. I love Shin Akuma (Oni for newbs xD) SSF4:AE theme because its a remix of his shin akuma SFA2 theme. Gives you that feel of ass kick about to happen lol. Same with his CVS2 theme. Almost always kicked my ass lol
