hey awsome! respect dude! my son (15) is learning jazz (bossa) on piano, but we dont know mush on voicing, have some pointers? you did an excellent job.
Autumn leaves is famous jazz-standard. It has to be played with full left hand voicings. 3 voices including the base is not powerful. you can use 3 voices for a blues excluding the base note or you play on a fender rhodes, there you need only 3 voices to sound powerful :-)
i know that u probably improv this but by any chance do u have the sheet music or at least the chord symbols? cause i'm in middle school and i just started but i improve a little on pressure cooker solo in the beginning but thats it :)
These are the chords.(Cm7/9) (Fm 7/9) (Ddim G+5/7/+9) (Cm maj) (bE 7/13 bA half. dim) bD maj).
Be careful with voicing-construction. You maybe should by some literature on voicings and left-hand-voicings. The Jazz-Piano Book is obligatory and there are some books from Aebersold for improving "Comping", Hal Leonard has also some good books but especially you should listen to the great musicians Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans.
I have a pedal. Be awesome to not use it to often ;-)You shouldn´t hide mistakes behind your pedal. Maybe you didn´t hear but in the second minute I use it sometimes. Good luck
awesome i play jazz to lol but i just started learning cause i'm in middle school. but i already improvised a solo for a song called preesure cooker wish i could get it onto u-tube
haha, I like this a lot..For some weird reason, this reminds me of Michael Franks' NIGHTMOVES. Check the user named "drjass." His version on blue bossa is just awesome.
good!!

Hello,
I would propose Aebersolds play-along. There are different books with cds to buy. very helpful.

Try to play Autumn leaves or Fly me to the moon. Those uses jazz accords, and you can play it with 3 voices with 1 bassvoice
and the other two voices chords. Those arent so tough yet to play on piano, in my opinion.

You play better than some "professionals" that I know. Good work. Maybe a vamp intro in Im9 IIm7b5 IIb13 would be nice,
