  • Love it. Great job!!

  • Wow. I enjoyed this! This peice is so well written and you captured it so well.

" But imagine my surprise when I saw you "

  • DAN-TASTIC !!!!

  • awsome dude keep it up

  • Added to favorites. Less is more....nice peaceful take. Thumbs up to you...

  • At the end of this song the 8-track tape would click and change tracks....I miss the 70's...

  • Hey, you did a beautiful job but I can tell the difference. Your version is happy and theirs is kind of whimsical but sad. Very good though

  • Great sound and great song Donald and Walter would be proud. Really enjoyed it, Thanks

  • Dude are you sure your not Steeley Dans pianist?

  • @overtime2005 Oh... I wish!!

  • Wow . . . even the sax solo!! EXCELLENT!!

  • Great rendition LTD! Kudos!

  • Nice job. It was fun to sing along with your arrangement.

  • lol - my faces... oh dear

  • nice work danonite!

  • She is lovely, yes she's sly, has she finally got to you~?

  • you've laid out in 3:20 what most classical pianisti will never realize-true purity and emotion. They seem to be more interested in "doing scales" and showing off their incredible talent, but I wonder if they do it with feeling?

  • Thanks for the comment! I would say personally the vast majority of classical pianists play with purity and emotion. Perhaps when learning songs for technical expertise this can be lacking, but any musician as opposed to technician will play with passion no matter what the subject

  • Very good point.

  • Beautiful....just beautiful. My favorite Dan tune. This arrangement really sparkles.

  • thanks kindly!

  • Hey man, where can I get the sheet music to this?

  • It's my own arrangement

  • I've been trying to figure this song out for a while. You nailed it! Thanks.

  • my daughter is 8 and a huge dan fan, we just wached you here and she sung along word for word - cheers for that it just made my night

  • Fantastic to listen to and to watch you play. Can you play my fave off the album; Bad sneakers please?

    Thank you

    Phil

  • That was awesome playin the bones. Fagen / Becker the legend lives ...tell AJA till my dyin dancin is thru...

  • Great touch.... I am huge Dan Fan Most of the musicians get that "deer in the headlights look" when you play SD...

  • The piano part playing during the line that begins with "Biscayne Bay, where the Cuban gentlemen sleep all day..." almost makes me cry every time I hear it. You did Fagen justice, man. No small feat.

  • 2nd verse, yeah, I get verklepmt over that piece also!

  • Truly one of the greatest Steely Dan songs and truly a great rendition you played. cheers!

  • man you kick ass awesome thanks for posting love sdan so nice peice keep posting please aj mycyver over and out

  • Cheers buddy :) I certainly will as soon as I get the opportunity!

  • surely one of their finest pure compositions... along with black cow, deacon blues, west of hollywood, almost gothic and some others... can really witness the quality of the composing better when it's 'stripped' down like this... .. thanks for more great work

  • Wow. An awesome rendition. Can't agree more with the "stripped down / quality" remark. Looked, but didn't sound, like you had your hands full. :-)

  • well done "el supremo" I was just singing along to u in front of my computer like a loon. keep doin it dude -

  • Lol.. el supremo? Whats all this about? :D singing along's what its all about man.. nice to hear it!

  • you're just a show biz kid logo ;) i think el supremo comes in the seventh line of the song. anyway, excellent playing

  • That was really good. You are an excellent pianist. I hope you do well and enjoy your talents.

  • Hey thanks very much, I appreciate it :)

  • This was spectacular. Of all the songs on K.L this is my favorite, which is strange because I play Guitar and this is the only song without a Guitar. When you listen to the original and focus on the Piano Donald is beating that Piano like a drum, there just seems to be such passion, nothing like it. Thank you for this great teaching aid.

  • Thank *you* for such a nice comment! I think its my favourite too, though it would be up against Rose Darling.. there's something so cool about that. I'm really glad if it helps people learn; thats what I think is one of the best things about YT. Its such an amazing source of inspiration to me.

  • Wonderful ! this is one of the must beautiful jazzy tunes from Steely ... Thanks for the piano playing . Good memories !

  • Thanks man :)

  • This is great. Can you do it from a better angel so I can copy. I've always wanted to learn this song. Thanks.

  • Thanks very much :) sure, I need something to do tonight anyway lol

  • DAN-TASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha thanks dude :)

  • Great! But have you a chart or something for all that voicing?

    I need to know....

  • You play just like Fagen! Jeep it up, and you will be famous someday. I Love Steely Dan!
