  • She was simply gorgeous. Had a great voice, and enjoyed every minute of her singing, you can tell by watching her- all the feeling she puts into every word. We miss you so, Tammy, a life cut short by prescription drugs- The doctors are to blame. such a shame. RIP

  • @Ferrum2004 Wow my friend that sure is a testimony to how the music feels to you. I too can get pretty worked up by songs and the people singing 'em. I think music really is how we truly connect.

  • Listening to pure unedited voices/songs like this is beautiful !! Love listening to Tammy , Connie Francis , The White Sisters , The Everly Brothers .. etc ..

  • i must say this is when country music had meaning. not all this teenager shit that country music has turned into now. tammy would turn over in her grave to see taylor swift on the same opry stage she was on 30 yrs ago

  • The first solo #1 hit for Tammy Wynette on the Country & Western charts. It was the 128th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #37 in the United Kingdom.

  • One Lady I wish i could have met! I love her voice!

  • I love this classic country just as much as anyone, but if this woman and this type of music had anything to do with my mom and dad's divorce back in 1978, then...........

(man wearing high heel shoos, talking on a broken phone) "I HATE HER, I HATE HER, I HATE HER!!!"

  • I love the emotion expressed in these classic songs. So wonderful and pretty. Thank you for displaying them.

  • So true;So sad

  • I love her voice and she and I have the same name

  • tammy has great voice like patsy

  • Thank you soo much for sharing tha experience Am only 33 years old Tammy knows no age when comming to fans I love her and I would travel the world if only to see her live once, she was taken away from us all to soon I love all her early recordings

when her voice was sweet as honey and sharp like a razor,

Someday when ...... I hope to see her

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Tammy when she preformed at my parents business. At the intermission, she was sitting in the living with my husband and I. She used the phone to call George, then she talked about her girls, and showed us pictures of them. what a great experience to get to share a few minutes talking to someone as popular as Tammy Wynette. This was in her early years of singing, just before she and George got married.

  • what a shitty song.

  • @VeryHugeAss fuck you

  • @DunneArtmateur Up yours!

  • @DunneArtmateur i mean, can you sing like this?????

  • She IS country,

  • One of the true Country greats.. I can feel the emotion in every song she sings.

  • this reminds me of me there are so many times I sit all Alone in my own Apartment and no one to talk to really just only my White cat but than she looks at me and thinks I'm nuts talking to her with this weird look on her cat face I bet you can just imagine Right, FullOfLife27

  • @rangersfc987 EXACTLY - And that's a tim agreeing with u lol.

  • this is the first Tammy song I remember hearing. I fell in love with her instantly and continue to love her to this day. Has always been my favorite. She looked and sang like an angel. Now she's up there with the Angel Band. Love and miss you. Will never forget you Tammy. You brought and are still brining me so many hours and years of great music.

  • True talent pure country vocal. no one can surpass this country voice

  • the problem is, people now dont know what music is. they dont know how to appreciate it. theyre too busy listenin to prison noise that they consider to be music. im a young person, but i love all types of music that was made decades ago.

  • the greatest ever

  • Wow, how amazing. You can just feel and hear the pain in her voice, and she's so tragically beautiful.

  • I CAN REMEMBER MY MOM AND DAD PLAYING A 8 TRACK OF THIS

  • @KidRockEatsSmegma -- Oh my gosh you really need to grow up and learn whats right and whats wrong to put on the internet. Your comment is rude cruel ignorant and purely disgusting!!!

  • wow she was only 28 yrs old in this video!!

  • @Beyoncefan1000 In her prime, few could match her physical beauty, and none could match her singing. George Jones is an idiot. He chose the jug over Tammy?

  • It was the same in my childhouse and I will never play house - I knew it then and I am proud I was always independent with my own money.

  • i love this song

  • my mommy was the same and this song givesthe justification to what y daddy did to my mommy

  • @TheFrankieDee AMEN!

  • @TheFrankieDee 13 voters need to be kicked out of the house. Tammy was tops.

  • @TheFrankieDee Amen to that!!!

  • @TheFrankieDee People who click dislike on this vid are liberal pro-war idiots who support Obama and Bush's wars in the middle east where the U.S. spends billions to invade and brutally occupy sovereign nations where we force them to accept democracy as a form of government at the expense of our taxpayers and the cost of countless lives of innocent U.S. soldiers and civilians. Real Americans know the U.S. should spend that money to create new jobs and take care of America first RON PAUL 2012

  • @TheFrankieDee I grew up listening to Tammy, my mom played her LPS in our house quite a bit.

  • @TheFrankieDee i agree with you

  • This was Tammy when i had the honor of meeting and talking with her. Gosh, what a fine lady. I still love you so very much Tammy. We'll meet again someday, I just know.

  • The Queen of Country music. Just amazing. Listening to Tammy sing just makes me more disappointed in country radio today with acts like Taylor Swift... there are just so many people on Country radio that don't belong there ... I mean, some of them have great talent, but they're just not country.

  • now thats what we call true country

  • tammy was so pretty..look at that profile.

  • What the heck kinda song is this? Man the artists back then sang about some creepy things.

  • Boy ! she sang the hell out that song.!

  • What a singer !

  • its such a true song i do not want to play house xx

  • she has the most awesome voice...

  • Play some House Music Tammy!

  • i love this video! =] she shure can sing !!

  • though I have to admit this kind of music's not my cup of tea, Ms Wynette had a special class of her own. Quite a professional.

  • Somewhere in '89 I went all the way to Wembley. Just to see her. Boxcar Willy was there also. After the show I went backstage. Just like that. I wanted to say a lot to Tammy. Then she stood there. I did not say a word. She just looked at me.

If I knew then what I know now? Look at Jones and listen to his words. About Tammy.

profundamente em meu coração. Aceite meu carinhoso beijo. Meu coração chora

    sua falta.

  • so true on the pop/ rock comment.... What a great song

  • Nothing compares to classic Country & Western like Tammy Wynette, It's not like today's country that sounds like pop/rock!!

  • Songs like that sure makes the world stop and think about life.

  • Tammy always sang with a tear in her voice. Great song. We lost her much too soon.

  • I remember all of the words... I haven't heard this song in 2 years. I love her, and Garth Brooks, and they're the only country music artists I will listen to.

  • Hi, I've just watched a Tammy documentary on the BBC in the UK, I am trying to find the title of the closing song, can anyone out there help me please ?

The song began " When the sky turns to silver just before dark"

Is this song on here anywhere ?

    Many thanks guys

  • its cool, dont hide your emotions, im a guy at 24, the tone of her voice that high note, the meanin of the song made me think of my dad when he left us so fuck him, hahah

this music gives me smiles & cries.

  • Thank You. I live in GA., Tammy is Great. Saw at The Ryman, and Vegas. TY...

  • Did she die? I"m sorry to hear that, she had one of the greatest voices ever!

  • - WHAT A VOICE SHE HAD .

  • My mum brainwashed me with this stuff when I was a kids. NOW I love it.

    Such a wonderful voice.

  • She was a stunner in her prime. Her years with George aged her prematurely.

  • @countryelle Richie? It was all the drugs he was forcing down her neck!!

  • He never made her do anything. She did things and blamed him. He loved her but his drug use came in between them. If you read his book you understand that he still loves her to this day. He may have treated her bad but she treated him bad too.
