There were so many deaths in this chapter. I knew I was gonna die going up in the kids playhouse to give them the weird pet in person. That part where Rosella dies after seeing that hooded lady actually made me laugh. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to give a jack in a box to their kids, it must have been really creepy looking since we only see the back of it's head. Must be an ugly goblin in a box.
Another question: When Lady Tsepish removes her hood, what causes the death of Rosella and Valanice? I never understood this one. And I agree with Rosella about the Jack in the box: I'm never giving one of those to my own children when I have them someday.
In this chapter, all scenes with the Boogeyman, little kids, the skeletons grabbing Rosella terrified me. I got spooked when the hand grabs Rosella's ankle and when a skull rips into the coffin and attacks.
PS. What does Rosella say when she falls down after she doesn't grab the gravedigger's shovel? And this might be a dumb question to ask but when the hand grabs Rosella when she walks over the grave, what causes the death: suffocation or being attacked by the corpse?
That nasty tall guy seems to like jumping on Alice in wonderland and kill her. No wonder why she said "That guy is bad news! Next time I'm not waiting to find out just how bad!"
I remember when I was the kid. Chapter 4 was the most exciting but also nerve wrecking. I would constantly worry the Boogeyman would appear at any moment. He's quite a scary character for a kids game.
When I was little (4-5) I remember waiting for my dad since I was scared of playing it alone so I waited somewhere and the boogie man came And I was like..........AAAAAH!!!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!
Funny how all these people comment on how the Bogeyman freaks them out when, really, he never freaked me out. He just annoyed me with how much he showed up and how many times I would have to run to a different screen to avoid being killed xP
"Whenever the branch shaped like a snake is pointing up, for goodness sake, run away! Go and hide! The boogeyman will be inside! Whenever the branch is pointing down, the boogeyman has gone to town!"
Is it bad that I still remember that after years of not having played KQ7?
@purpletwist64 "Here is the body of Benjamin Crabby, who in life was incredibly grabby. Don't stand on his grave or his corpse can't behave, old Benji might pop up and nab ye" :D Those limericks were awesome.
Geez.. I never saw this Zombie when I was young and played this..I probably would not have survived it >:D Even now, when I'm playing my heart stops beating if he arrives D:
I assume you're talking about calling him with the horn. There's a clue in the game that you shouldn't blow the horn while the snake-shaped tree branch is pointing up. There is a death I show when it's pointing down, but that's because I already blew the horn in multiple locations and this is the result after too many tries.
I'm really confused why did blowing the horn at the Boogie mans house or hitting the lock on the coffin lead to dieing and didnt lead to dieing in the main playthrough?
"Thanks for calling me to dinner, toots" is a result of blowing the horn with the snake branch up, and "Who dares disturb my sleep?" is a result of blowing the horn multiple times (most likely in other locations).
Tapping the lock should always lose. You're supposed to punch buttons on the combination lock, not hammer away at it.
Thank you. These comments seem to be nothing but how much the Bogeyman scared everyone, with no one else mentioning Lady Tsepish (the cloaked weeping lady.) When I played back then, the Bogeyman's style just looked too cute to be menacing--sure he comes out of nowhere, but look at him, he has footed pajamas and everything. Lady Tsepish, on the other hand...she was terrifying, and kind of still is. Brrr.
I think the reason the Boogeyman stands out to so many people is because he's frightening on a much more in-your-face level than Lady Tsepish. I applaud you for being gutsy enough to actually find him cute, though. :)
I do actually find another disturbing thing about this level that I never noticed while playing the game...the disfigurement of Rosella as she's being pulled into the deadfall. O.o
There is a tree branch near the bones that points up when the Bogeyman is around and down when he's not (you can tell which branch this is by comparing different death clips in the video). Blow the horn when the branch is up.

For some reason, the music you hear when the Boogeyman(?) comes out reminds me of the theme from Jeopardy. The final round, at least.

mh.. wont the boogeyman appear on the lady's map, too?
and what exactly are the conditions to get him appear by using the horn? I tried it several times, but always got the hand.
Weedie 3 years ago
What is "the lady's map"?
There is a tree branch near the bones that points up when the Bogeyman is around and down when he's not (you can tell which branch this is by comparing different death clips in the video). Blow the horn when the branch is up.
