FUUUUUUU!

That boss battle used to scare the living daylights out of me, his charging sound, his theme, and how he looks like in general..I used to think he was a hornet, not a mosquito (which contributed to my general fear of bees, wasps, hornets...etc.).

The part where you ride him is fun...a few stages after this (maybe after the swamp..) I cannot continue from there because it became puzzling, and I didn't have a Memory card at the time.

@trixieanddodong No more buying necessary, sounds like you need to save the game. Go to the top hat icon on the map/level select screen to save.

If you are on a PS3 you need to create a memory card under save data to save Psone games.

Well, when I played on my PS2, the game worked, but the bottom layer was missing (most of the time, the ground). So, you wouldn't know if there was a pit ahead or not, since you couldn't see the ground.

That actually isn't a collectible. Once you finish the Moskito's Nest level you will get an ability that when you punch the purple ring you'll swing on it.

Just beat the Moskito's Nest level and it should become clear enough.

It's basically that you couldn't walk around in a real rayman world full of magical shittees that would cast a smile on your face. In the ps1 version you could just choose which level ye wanted fe play and then do it.
