No, they only nominally pay around 60% of INCOME taxes because the top 5% earns about 68% of the nation's income. Even then that's just nominally. In real terms their income taxes go down each year as their income increases every year but their income tax rates don't. Not to mention all the tax loopholes for them *ahem*.
And no, the rich don't pay for all education programs. Education programs are paid for by the taxes of local citizens.

It was at 7949.09 on Jan 20, 2009 (Inauguration).
Lowest point since then was March 9: 6547.05.
The Dow began rising immediately afterward, climbing to another peak on June 12 at 8799.26
Fell for a month, then began rising again on July 13 after reaching a valley of 8146.52.
A steady rise, now shaky but still trending upward. Right around 9500-9600 like Thrasher said.

The rich pay higher nominal INCOME taxes (and even on that they have so many loopholes and deductibles most of them pay little income tax) but they don't pay the majority of all taxes. The middle class shoulders most of the tax burden.

A86: lie! the top 5% pay for 60% of ALL federal taxes...the entire middle class doesn't pay as much as top 5%. If you think the rich dont pay taxes, you are crazy....if someone claims $1,000,000 in income, their tax burden is almost 36% THE HIGHEST RATE...you make no sense and you obviously never made more than $200k, or else you would know just how much they pay in taxes....oh and by the way, the rich pay for all the education programs through high PROPERTY TAX. No, they only nominally pay around 60% of INCOME taxes because the top 5% earns about 68% of the nation's income. Even then that's just nominally. In real terms their income taxes go down each year as their income increases every year but their income tax rates don't. Not to mention all the tax loopholes for them *ahem*.
And no, the rich don't pay for all education programs. Education programs are paid for by the taxes of local citizens.
