i feel the video is an artistic representation of nature, spirits and the tranquility of the land being destroyed by man and then the protagonist of the video (the giant spirit colossus). Takes his rage and revenge out on the humans and there city. Beautiful and intellegent video and a warning to all mother nature will kill us if we continue to kill her.

@TheElderToguro Hey thanks! The gods are loose interpretations of those from Maori mythology. Ruamoko, god of earthquakes and the baby of the gods, is the main character. The first two dead gods are a blend of Tane Mahuta, Rongo and Haumia-tiketike, the nature gods. The stone pair are Rangi and Papa, the sky-father and earth-mother. There's plenty of great legends around about all these gods.

How can you not see what the video means? you have to listen to the lyrics. The video is a visual metaphor. It represents the idea of someone (the main character) that has lost someone or something (the statues etc) He feeds and grows from the pain and uses it to battle his way through the bullshit of everyday life to finally rest in a place or headspace that he wants to be in. Thats how I interpret it anyway. Very powerful stuff.
