As for Bush, he's made some bad foreign policy decisions, but he was better than the alternatives. I only think it was a bad idea to depose Saddam because it has come to threaten American security and I don't believe in a preemptive military policy.
That Bush made bad decisions doesn't really diminish the sheer brutality of Saddam himself. Funny that I repeatedly hear people redirecting insults to Bush, as if that were somehow relevant to the quality of Saddam's leadership while he had power.
