I have Shark Meat ALL the time, its acually my favorite fish :) and I am in United States, I am not some wierd cultur person!!  Really it tastes like swordfish, or just any white meat fish....but Shark is more like the "steak" of the fish world. Suprised this is considered a weird food 0.o

In Iceland the tradition is to eat a bit of shark meat and then take a shot of "Brennivín" which is pretty much our "Vodka" spiced with Kumen/Cumen.

He is pretty right about the smell, it smells disgusting but once you taste it and take a shot of brennivín it kind of starts to be enjoyable in a certain way, a very odd way though.
