  • Yeah. I'm just going to go for it,cos I've got to get one of these.Although I've nearly completed making a launch ramp from plastic tubes,so no excuse either way.By the way,I can spell "HOBBY" really. Its late here & I was just having a brain - keyboard interface problem.Or I was just being a MUPPET ! You decide.

  • Fantastic vid pal,I have a HK/Artech Jetiger. But the Stryker is way better, faster & more aerobatic.I really want one, just a bit scared of slicing my hand off with the prop when launching.Wouldn't it be excellent if Parkzone did an EDF Stryker.Come on Horizon Hobbie!

  • @lordosirus But then it wouldn't go as fast or have the acrobatic capabilities! Its not hard to toss actually, when I do it i just toss it like a big paper airplane and only hit the gas after it has left my hand.

  • Great video but you only showed how to initiate the inverted flat spin not do the actual trick wich had me confused when learning. after you "crank the sticks" and she flips over and starts to spin ease rite stick down and to the left so then bolth sticks are down and to the left in high rates of course. and then it'll start spinning and don't forget to give yourself lots of room.

  • @stryker595 I made the video to show the simplest form of doing tricks. And with this plane all you have to do is hold them over and it spins on its own! Super fun. Love the plane!

  • I'd really like to know what battery you were running in that video. The motor is stock and holds up OK under the load of that 7X5E prop? Ever had a watt meter on it with that prop?

And last, any idea what you speed was at WOT?

    Thanks

  • @kzroadglide Battery is the same ones I use in most my foamies. 3 cell 2250mah 65C ThunderPower. The stock motor is still going and I fly the dang thing every other weekend! Its amazing. I was sure it would have melted by now :P With a slight tail wind we have clocked it at 177 km/h (radar gun, not crappy doppler app), she will do 150 flat no problem. No i have not put a watt meter on it. Maybe this weekend i'll give it a wurl!

  • Robsco - Just another question my friend. The Stryker is providing a considerable trigger for me going to a 2.4 GHz radio system (I'm currently on a JR X378). What 2.4 GHz transmitter did you use and have you had any issues using it in built up residential areas?

    Many thanks and Merry Christmas.

  • @DNowlan1 the 2.4ghz systems were designed for people living in high population areas. The spektrum systems bounce between several bands of 2.4 to give you the best connection possible, and because every receiver has a unique ID when bound, interference is virtually impossible. I use a JR 9503, but if you don't need the bells and whistles the Spektrum DX7 and DX8 are good and cheaper. Other companies make 2.4 but JR and spektrum are compatible with most BNF planes as there from horizon hobby.

  • @RobscoRC - Thanks mate - I really appreciate that. - Merry Christmas and happy new year.

  • Hey mate, very nice job. Would you mind telling us what the background music is? Thanks!

  • @RobscoRC It's ok, I agree with you that MAAC is a pain in the ass, where's your field?

  • Did you also film that funjet ultra in calgary?

  • @Blueberry954 Yuppers

  • @RobscoRC Haha, dunno lol, mine too, come to crams!

  • @Blueberry954 Thanks but no thanks.. I have a private field just down the street from my house.. Its perfect, easy to maintain and no MAAC bull$h1t to worry about

  • Is your hometown Calgary

  • @Blueberry954 how did you guess?

  • Great demo; highlights the big difference to all the ordinary foam-waffles. Thanks.

  • These machines are awesome. They're even more amazing when you consider the cost. This must surely be the golden age of RC?

  • Best Vid on youtube!! hands down...Check mine out!! Im Sub'd...

    Cheers from Newfieland!! lol

  • you got to improve landings, lol

  • Many thanks for the clarification Robsco - Love your work. All I need to do know is Join the 21st century and grab a 2.4G Transmitter. Again thanks so much for the video.

  • Hey mate - fantastic video - So just confirming the motor in this stock? I am seriously considering the Stryker on this setup. Great flying my friend.

  • @DNowlan1 It sure is stock. I recently did have to replace it because the bearings blew out but that was no big deal. I looked for a higher end replacement but none of the shops in my town had something the same size with an equal KV rating so I just opted for the stock motor again. Have fun with it, its a screamer!

  • Awesome Video. Great Flying. You fly really good. Thanks for showing the flying tricks.

  • nice flight...indeed this plane is awesome !!!

Fly the micro stryker..this thing is FANTASTIC but I will order the big brother too :-)

  • Try the "Boomerang". Same as the inverted flat spin, but as you go into the flat spin, move the sticks to (left stick)-bottom left, (right stick)-bottom left. To recover slow the spin by moving the right stick to the top right. It's a FAST spin and very cool looking.

  • Got just 3 letters for you... FPV ;-p

  • So just an upgraded esc and prop? Motor still stock? I might have to do that to mine. What battery are you running? (cells, mah and C rating)

    Thanks.

  • @BrushlessNitro The motor in this plane is AWESOME. Im using 3 cell, 2250 may Thunder Power 65C and 45C packs. There top of the line batteries and really give it the punch it needs.

  • @RobscoRC Thats a drag, but ok.

  • I live in calgary! Go to CRAMS airfiled, i go there. Meet me there (Blueberry954)

  • @Blueberry954 NO.. lol sorry I don't fly at CRAMS

  • what song is that? kool

  • Great flying man!!!! Loved the video!!!

  • Very nice man! Thanks for the quick tutorial!

  • WOW! Nice one dude! I just checked one of the passes with RCSpeedo and you broke the 100mph barrier there - not sure if it's very accurate, due to the background music, but seems right, by looking at it... :)

  • @BrotherBloat Thanks. It easily does over 100 mph. We have a radar gun at our field and clocked it as high as 113 mph, which is 182 km/h for us. I'm still working on breaking our 200 km/h mark, I'll get there

  • Nice flying!! Sweet Stryker! Now I know what I have to get next.

  • Great flying and video work! Man that thing is fast. Looks like a big improvement on stock even, just with the prop up and the esc upgrade. Nice explanation on the stunts as well!

  • @justlostagain It is a big difference. This sucker was clocked at 182 km/h yesterday, the stock setup couldn't hit 100. Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome Flying, Great Camera Work!

    Thank Y'all!

  • hey robscorc great video and how to.

  • thats red road airport lol, but nice video
