What Henry said towards the end is so very important, and I wish that someone would have said this when I was 13 watching MTV. "All it takes is one guy, or girl to stand up and say: Fuck this!". To me that guy was a green-haired, mouse man, with a Destroy shirt and two words: No future.
@movrinoscopy In one of his books he mentions how fake they are, how they would choreograph their shows and that they only destroyed keyboards because they had some sort of contract with the makers. He toured with them for Lollapalooza and he said they made them late because the tour bus had to stop at a store to buy flour so they could cover their bodies with it. Small things like that.
@cuntrytrash@movrinoscopy Back around when Downward Spiral came out I saw a vhs tape of Trent Reznor from his 80's new wave Flock of Seagulls looking band, which you can find those clips on youtube and it made me think WTF, now I like NIN and other things Trent has done but after seeing what he did before it was one of the first times I realized that it was all an act and I can totally see where Henry is coming from.
