I can remember the first time I heard this song: July 24 1989, walking through San Diego Airport after graduating Marine Corps Boot Camp. It was the first video & song I'd listened to after 3 months.
I still have the TAPE and NO I am not going to put it on E-bay Bret.
Gioa's voice is AMAZING!
I'm still waiting for the "Where are they now?" on VH-1.
AHHHHH. I know a song that has music so so so simalar to the music to this and it's bugging me cuz I don't know what it's called. can anyone help me? any song with music that's simalar.
Hmmm I don't quite think so. I love that song! I think it's the "du du du" in the backround. if you know what i mean. thanks for trying to help me :).
another awesome song and video by 1 of my alltime favorite female groups we need them back with new music today so they can show these wannabees how things are done the right way
Thanks for posting this video. I'm a big Expose fan. Gioia is my favorite member, although I love them all. This song is fabulous. A terrific sound with a message that needs to get over. You can't get a more perfect combination than that. And, it's as relevant today as it was back then when it was recorded.
It's good to hear that Gioia is back with the group, I love these girls. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard this song, my friends and I were driving from Carbondale to Chicago stopped at a gas station and this song comes on the radio, it was on Rick Dee's Weekly Top 40. Love you, EXPOSE and will forever be fan!
I heard it a few times on 96.3 ~ B96 in Chicago back in 1989,
then never heard it again for many years. It took me a decade to
find out who the artist was of this song. turned out it was by Expose! a group i knew for their awesome freestyle songs. And now, finally, I see the video to this amazing song.
ya know, I didn't say enough 2 months ago....so let me start again.
'Tell Me Why' is by far, my FAVORITE EXPOSE SONG!

Yeah....a single with an openly anti-gang message. It's songs like that that should make young people think TWICE before destroying their lives by joining a vicious street gang.
They look fantastic in this video! I know this song has a serious message, but I almost want to see them do their dance routine here. They were great live!
paula abdul bit the beginning of this song huh?

I hated the radio for not playing this song enough.
89 was a sucky time for music an the radio never played the good songs. Good songs like this.

Such a great song. Fantasticly produced !
It has a 'melancholic' sound in it,
that really brings back the 80s !
Expose s best song !

Great song. Their image was more polished here, compared to their early videos. The big hairdos and the flashy slutish clothes were gone.

Strong message, this song garnered rave reviews by the critics. A more serious, artistic side of the group. Gioia Bruno at lead vocals!!!!
