There's actually an easy way to fix this. I had the same problem with my Kramer.

1. Remove the neck of the guitar.

2. Fold a sheet of notebook/printer paper so that it'll fit into the neck slot of your guitar. Insert it into the slot.

3. Re-attach your neck to the body of the guitar without messing with the paper.

4. ROCK ON!

I think mine was used or something. I ordered mine on this site and it turned out the whammy bar was defective and it didn't even come with a strap. I had to use my friends. Also, my wire was already plugged into the guitar. I dislike the X-Plorer guitar shape too. The should of switched the points. It's rather uncomfortable for me. I had GH 3 back when I had the Wii and I had no problem with anything. Star power, buttons, nothing.
