season two was the best for both american and canadian idol.

CI - best vocal kalen, best performer for jacob, and theresa voice blows out many contestants over the years

and kalan and jacob never made it to bottom 2, except for when jacob asked his fans not to vote 4 him. Plus an honest connection between the top 3 as friends.

AI - ruben and clay both never made it to the bottom two, and both were vocally sound and very charismatic. Plus, you knew it would be them 2 in the end from the start

Kalan was the headliner at the Peterborough Festival of Lights last week and there were more than 10,000 people. Some others are saying that there were around 20,000 people. Still rocks!!! He will be working on his 3rd album very soon.

Geez, the teenyboppers who love rebellious show-offs are out in force in this thread. Jacob is an entertainer, for sure, but he has a limited audience who will grow up one of these days. Kalan appeals to a different type of fan but he sure doesn't have to take a back seat to Jacob when it comes to fame. He has done very well for himself in spite of having far less competent management and record label and is plenty famous, from coast to coast.

Saw Kalan at his concert at the Danforth Music Hall last week - place was packed/full, lots of young women, older teens, young kids and adults. He was captivating and a musical genius - playing different musical instruments in every song - the viola, violin, drums, piano, tambourine, synth bass. Highlight was when he sang Destination in the crowd - without a mic and his voice was soaring - incredible. He is here to stay- stayed for everyone to get an autograph -the line up was enormous.

I have no clue who these people are because I watch American Idol but I can already tell from this performance that Kalan is a better singer than Jacob. This Kalan has a very mature voice and it's smooth. The girl is good too. My favorite from American Idol is Jordin Sparks, listen to her audition and Broken Wing song. She is SO good!

The three of them are very popular in their own rights here in Canada. Kalan won, he had the highest selling debut single from a Canadian artist, ever and his first CD went 2x platinum. He also has a new CD out now :)

Jacob is the lead singer of Headly, which I am pretty sure have gone to the US.

I am a diehard Kalan fan and always will be. Notice how in this video, and in all the group performances he was in, his voice is so much better than all the others. Theres just no comparison. That is why he won. He was born a superstar. He was the most talented person ever to win ever on any of these idol shows, hands down. He was the only winner who was NEVER in the bottom two or three, and his first album 219 Days, was the best-selling album ever in Canada.
