He does a pretty good job explaining it and then showing it on his first rep or two and then just quickly finishes them with less than perfect form in the interest of time. Don't get too butthurt

1) Smith machines are FAR from ideal when you want to gain mass because they limit you're range of motion. Your muscles don't have to stabilize the weight so they don't get worked-out properly.
2) When squating your toes should be pointing out slightly (around 30 degrees) because it's more natural for your knees. If your feet are straight, it puts stress on your knees.
3) If you want to gain mass, it's not about throwing the weights around, it's about controlled movement.
When you say 3 sets or 8 reps do you mean you have to do the 3 sets of 8 reps in one setting? Or can you do like a set of a certain exercise then do a set of another exercise then go back to the other 2 sets of the previous exercise?

I always use smith machine for bench press. This way I don`t need a spotter as I can just lock in weight when my chest gives up. It's safe and you get balanced development as the weight is spread evenly.
@omegotrd I use the smith machine for bench press. Feels great. I got some good gains from it. I don't like to bug people at the gym and I don't want to worry about getting injured.
There is a tip with the power rack I saw on YouTube. You can set it up so that the bars will catch the free weight barbell, if you were to get tired. Only problem is that, if the level is not inline with your chest, you can't really use it. As you can't really go as low as you need to.
@omegotrd but it's not that effective like free weight bench-press cause you are not working muscles which are stabilising the weight.. and it's also not a natural movement cause when you do benchpress the motion is not straight down..

A few tips from a trainer
1 - Dont do these exercises in this order -PERIOD !!
2 - Always start with the biggest muscle group at the start of a session- legs Squats / deadlifts
3 Take out this crappy curls, tri ext n shrugs ,n replace with close grip pull ups n dips , (assisted if u need)
4. Never use the squat rack, its better to go freebar as this well require more stability work and therefore engage a lot more core.
5 -If you got squats in your workout then do romanian deadlifts

1. Deadlift similar to bent over row :S really
2. squat on smith is terrible
3.his form is terrible
4. what about dips, pull ups/ chin ups
5. imo shrugs = high reps
6. he says "and the next exercise" implying to do these exercises in the same workout, which would build no muscle
7. and there is no shortcut to abs unless you take steroids

@Nheeb yer just realised too but bent over rolls are the same exercise as bent over rows, just different name. and he i know he says bicep curls, but i said dumbbell cause they are more beneficial than using the bar.

I always use smith machine for bench press. This way I don`t need a spotter as I can just lock in weight when my chest gives up. It's safe and you get balanced development as the weight is spread evenly.

@omegotrd I use the smith machine for bench press. Feels great. I got some good gains from it. I don't like to bug people at the gym and I don't want to worry about getting injured.
There is a tip with the power rack I saw on YouTube. You can set it up so that the bars will catch the free weight barbell, if you were to get tired. Only problem is that, if the level is not inline with your chest, you can't really use it. As you can't really go as low as you need to.
