@puropotosino08 Hey there, I can't think of any. I think the geese/lights display is still going on in a north west Austin neighborhood ...balcones I think. It always puts a smile on my face!
Please see the high quality versions in the video description - It is rendered in 4:3 and 16:9 This compressed version has been left up for reference. Also I will try and get some HD of this years display so please subscribe to Deanjfilms for any possible update.
This is now one of my favorite renditions because it fits "Keep Austin Weird" perfectly. Great city, we miss it deeply! Thank you for giving us a big smile.
We drove from Cedar Park to see this last night. What we saw was the politicization of Christmas at the hands of insufferable liberals (can't wait to see what else they will ruin in the next 4 years). If you would rather see Obama than baby Jesus in a manger, then this is the place for you.
However, if you want to see a real celebration of Christmas, go to Cedar Park (off of Sun Chase Blv). The home owners there also take donations for Brown Santa...100% class act unlike 37th street.
I'm so glad someone captured this when it was still really awesome. We went this year (2007) and it was so much less interesting. Lots of houses were dark, even several that obviously *had* lights up but didn't have them on. So sad. I get it, electricity is expensive, but it's still sad.
I was there...a couple a Vics and a cabernet IV and WOW! ...BTW, yes, they DO let people in their homes. The house that "hosted" me and my g-friend that night decorated their bathroom as well...floating candles in the tub and such, and occasionally people would walk up and ask if they may use the restroom..."SURE! pour a glass of wine for yourself and a glass of punch for the kids!"
Definitely the WEIRDEST place in the state...let's keep it that way!
:) Thanks you so much for watching..This is by far by favorite video...never have I had such a great time filming and editing! I filmed this either 2000 or 2001 Christmas eve real early then later drove in ice when all was sound asleep!! I miss 37th street..its changed so much, but I believe it will come back one day! Thanks again for your story steason - It brings it all back alive:)Merry Christmas:) - Dean

But it also made me smile at how we may all go and see somethign but we all see in different ways, and i dig your way! Thanks for sharing :)

@puropotosino08 - I heard the area of 24th & Windsor is very well done. Also an area in Circle-C that's walkable.

Its so much better to get out and walk this, as many residents decorate their back yards as well & let you walk through to see it. Very cool.
