The problem is that people are not aware they are being taught prosperity gospel. It is cleverly woven into Hillsong preaches. Every time I've been to Hillsong London, the prosperity gospel can be found in their message. They do make good music though - keep that up!
I cant believe that there's people out there who believe that hillsong preaches that the unfortinate things that happens to countries, is a result of sin. OBVIOUSLY you really dont know that much. i am planning to go to hillsong because i want that greater oppertunity to learn to preach others about Jesus, not how much its gonna cost to learn. its a shame how people dont really like to get over their belifes and stop crushing others.

The problem is that when you start twisting who God is you begin to create your own god. You then start to worship not the God of all but the god of your own creation. That is the problem here, they can praise "god" all they want but the ones who have salvation must call out to the one real God. This is important because it can lead many people of believe they found the lord or even pull people way from the real God because of experiences with these Heretics.
I must also say this, some people are blessed with riches in the form of money. But money is not an indication of anything, God never promises his people will be wealthy with money but wealthy in spirit, rich in soul but poor of body.

4 yrs ago I went to a recording for a hillsong cd. It was held at a venue in the city and the venue was surrounded by homeless people. I saw a man going through the bin looking for food and thousands of Christians walked right by. My heart was so broken, the line was so long in McDonalds with Christians buying their food that I knew if I got in line this man looking through the bin would be gone by the time I came out. It must have broke the Lord's heart, He sees this sort of thing all the time.

God is with us thru it all, good and bad times, one thing for sure is we always leave HIM behind during our happy times, BUT HE never onced leave us during our bad times, no matter how hopeless a situation may seem, HE is there with us.
Churches all through history have manipulated people for their own needs, nothing new here. The sooner people realise there is no God, the better. You're only gonna get one life, stop using it to follow others and fight for someone else's dream of Utopia. How many followed Ted Haggard? Kent Hovind? Religous leaders are no more worth listening too than drunks at the pub.
I am not a member of hillsong church however, i have been to their church and their confrences and it would be safe to say that I know hillsongs heart and vision. The media are constantly twisting and worping the public's view of Hillsong and their vision. The only people who have the right/knowledge to be able to comment on hillsongs motives should be those who have been there. Also, no church is perfect, every church has flaws in atleast one area

Don't know much about Hillsongs theology, but Deuteronomy chapter 28:2 says "all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God". Verses 3-14 lists how God will bless obedience to Him. Verse 16-68 tells the result of disobedience. Of course, Jesus said "you can't serve two masters", and we are told not to love the world, but he also said "is your eye is envious because I am generous?" Let God bless who he wants to bless, and be thankful for what you have.
So by your very theology, picking a verse from here and there to justify your beliefs, your saying its ok to exploit people, to manipulate them just so as to make money from them?

I like your video it makes the point well. There is without doubt a move throughout some 'modern' churches that claim that financial gain is a blessing from God for being righteous. I work in one of the poorest countries in the world and see righteous people starving to death. God has not blest them with enough food to eat. Perhaps we should see financial gain as more of a test to see what we do with it - do we save the starving or buy the BMW. As easy as that!

The problem is that people are not aware they are being taught prosperity gospel. It is cleverly woven into Hillsong preaches. Every time I've been to Hillsong London, the prosperity gospel can be found in their message. They do make good music though - keep that up!

God "intervening" and blessing people is not the same as God wipping out suffering by saving babies and cancer victims and aids victims and people who are being raped and so forth. God gave us free will and sadly a lot of us use it to do our own thing and we end up hurting ourselves and others and also damaging the world we live in. That is the problem here, they can praise "god" all they want but the ones who have salvation must call out to the one real God. This is important because it can lead many people of believe they found the lord or even pull people way from the real God because of experiences with these Heretics.

I must also say this, some people are blessed with riches in the form of money. But money is not an indication of anything, God never promises his people will be wealthy with money but wealthy in spirit, rich in soul but poor of body.
God says to pick up your cross and follow him, he did not say that he was going to take it off of you or to leave it behind. We will have struggles through life and we will be persecuted but that is how it suppose to be.

4 yrs ago I went to a recording for a hillsong cd. It was held at a venue in the city and the venue was surrounded by homeless people. I saw a man going through the bin looking for food and thousands of Christians walked right by. My heart was so broken, the line was so long in McDonalds with Christians buying their food that I knew if I got in line this man looking through the bin would be gone by the time I came out. It must have broke the Lord's heart, He sees this sort of thing all the time.

If terrible things happen because of man's free will then it follows that good things happen because of man's free will NOT because of God. Otherwise you are saying free will can only be used wickedly, in which case a good God never would have given it to man.
This MUST include things that seem beyond the reach of man's ability to affect because your claim is that hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes occur because of man's free will rather than god.

It is surprising how narrow-minded and ignorant Christians really are. Socrates, Buddah and Confuscious all existed well before Abraham or anyone contained in his writings. They all suggested ways to end suffering too which indicates that there was suffering.

The oldest copies of the Hebrew texts are around 200BC. Even if one were to give leniency, Abraham and everyone in his writings was no earlier than 450BC.

Why you guys find so much joy in BASHING another church, and other brothers and sisters in Christ. The Bible clearly warns to not speak against those who are placed by HIM in authority. If anything negative about Hillsong is true, you need to pray for them, not tear them down. If you had any real insight, it's been tainted by the lack of love shown towards them. With the disasters like Hiroshima etc. depicted in this video, why is sinners posted next to it? God was not responsible for what happened? I am not a member of hillsong church however, i have been to their church and their confrences and it would be safe to say that I know hillsongs heart and vision. The media are constantly twisting and worping the public's view of Hillsong and their vision. The only people who have the right/knowledge to be able to comment on hillsongs motives should be those who have been there. Also, no church is perfect, every church has flaws in atleast one area

It is never about the Pastor not having enough faith to beleive God for the healing. It is always blame the victim.

Don't know much about Hillsongs theology, but Deuteronomy chapter 28:2 says "all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God". Verses 3-14 lists how God will bless obedience to Him. Verse 16-68 tells the result of disobedience. Of course, Jesus said "you can't serve two masters", and we are told not to love the world, but he also said "is your eye is envious because I am generous?" Let God bless who he wants to bless, and be thankful for what you have.

People who go to church decide whether or not to contribute When people are concerned with what possesions a christian leader has, I suspect envy is involved. Anyone who reads/ posts at Youtube is probably a "westerner" wealthy beyond the wildest dreams of the poorest 1/3 of the world's population. I recommend being thankful and not worrying about what someone else has. If Bono is richer Brian Houston, does that bother you?

I like your video it makes the point well. There is without doubt a move throughout some 'modern' churches that claim that financial gain is a blessing from God for being righteous. I work in one of the poorest countries in the world and see righteous people starving to death. God has not blest them with enough food to eat. Perhaps we should see financial gain as more of a test to see what we do with it - do we save the starving or buy the BMW. As easy as that!
