I don't think Gingrich can make generalizations like that...I know refugees personally in both Jordan and the US who consider themselves Palestinian, but have had to leave their homes because of the violence they faced (just fyi, most casualties have been on the Palestinian side). I don't think Gingrich can make generalizations like that...I know refugees personally in both Jordan and the US who consider themselves Palestinian, but have had to leave their homes because of the violence they faced (just fyi, most casualties have been on the Palestinian side). These people are not "invented" and most certainly not terrorists. Neither side is innocent, but saying Palestinian= terrorist is just encouraging hate and will probably be problematic for Gingrich in the long run.

If accurate, historical borders were used in redrawing the area that the British were turning over to the land they occupied the entirety of the "disputed" lands, including parts of Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon would have been called Israel or Judea and given to the Jews and the fiction of Palestinian peoples would have never been created.

Israel actually warns people where they are going to bomb, on the TV, radio, with pre-recorded phone messages in Arabic, and try to minimize collateral damage, even at the risk of tipping off the terrorists.
Palestinians actually used white phosphorus as a weapon, Israel uses it for tactical effect.

Respectfully I have to disagree with you. There IS a historic claim to the area from both sides (or there would be no conflict to begin with).
It isn't like Israel was just formed when they crossed the Red Sea and it has been their's since. If you reference history books you will realize that there were many wars waged BY the Children of Israel to gain more land (and obviously some against them). It is not a fair statement to say that it is as simple as "Jews were there first"

Lastly, the Qur'an states to spread Islam to the rest of the world. Similarly to how Christians have missionaries in Africa and other countries. Whether some have used it as a reason for waging war does not make it correct

Israel was sparsely inhabited at the end of the Ottoman empire. Jews turned the land into what it is today. There definitely weren't 5 million people claiming to be Palestinians (as there are today) living there. If that's the case, where is the history of trade or antiquity from the Palestinians? They all of a sudden popped up out of no where when the Jews were given Israel back.

The fact of the matter the land is no longer theirs, but to simply state that they are an invented people is harsh because by definition almost everyone is an "invented" people. How did Americans come about?
