@332546 HA! Do yourself a favor and check out Caliceo's channel; dude is NASTY on this axe. I play the same style as him but with a bit less chops - for now. I'm catching up quick (but there's no subways where I live, lol!)...
I find performances on subway cars to be annoying and ridiculous. Playing in the streets and halls is fine, but when people are riding home after a day of work it makes little sense, especially when crammed together. But the song was nice.
The thing is that New Yorkers don't really care about much because of the hustle and bustle in their everyday lifestyle as a New Yorker. Yes it's the great city but N.Y. does nothing for its people but overcharge them in every aspect I can think of. Born and raised there , now 54 years later, finally decided to leave there because being a middle class citizen there will get me nowhere and I will would have died there BROKE, unless you are really making money there. N.Y. is for the wealthy only!
Thanks for sharing that timely advice. im a 58 yr old muso songwriter who thought maybe i can make a go of it in nyc. you can chek my vids out if you wish. i was actually in berlin east berlin which was i felt quite affordable
This is one of my favorite standards.... This guy is quite good! That's jazz... oh yeah... NY seems such a hipnotizing city... Mexico City isn't bad though... hahaha, I love my hometown... Yet I¿d like to go to NYC someday... Regards from Mexico!
that was sick dude! i want to do something like this to make some money for a car but i live in the burbs of metro antlanta, anyone have any ideas where to play?
It's kinda weird that he plays inside the subway. I like what he does, but some people may not, and by playing outside you at least give them the chance to leave.
No, silly, this song is from the movie The Sound Of Music. The song is called "My Favorite Things", written by composer Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II ( aka Rodgers and Hammerstein).

No one looked at him because clarinets sound like ass no matter what musician. Not his fault, but he should have picked soprano sax.
