@factsism11 The specific command given to Noah was to fill the earth (9:1). Now, is staying in a single area the opposite of filling the earth? Remember that this is after the fall, so does the command given specifically given to Adam before the fall still apply? I don't know. There is a similarity, but there is no talk of subduing the earth nor having dominion over animals. Rather the animals will fear humans. Perhaps in a sense man has lost their place in creation they once had.

The reason was so they would make a name for themselves lest they be dispersed over the earth. The plain is the area I'm talking about. The decided to settle there. @factsism11 I think you are right in that they would have not only stayed in a single spot on the earth. Gen 11:2 suggests that there were other groups of people around other than those in Shinar. Meaning people were spreading. The issue is that a group decided to build a city in order to keep from dispersing. God confused the languages in order to insure that did not happen, at least for some time. This isn't long before God calls Abraham and possibly played a role in some way.

Is that what God is doing when he floods the earth, trying to solve a problem? That must assume that God does trial and error and that He does not have an over arching plan for everything He does. Isaiah 46:10 says that God declares the end from the beginning. Jesus would pick up on the Flood later to illustrate His return (see Matt 24:36). The flood story and the ark is a shadow of Christ.

Yes, it is His plan, but we make our own decisions, God does not make them for us. I think this is called compatibilism. You have a will, make choices and are responsible for the choices. God also has determined what will happen from the beginning one way or another.

@factsism11 In the context of Isaiah 45:7 "evil" is contrasted with peace or well being. The word is also translated calamity, like a disaster such as a flood. God did not force men to be evil, if He did, he couldn't justly judge them. It isn't God's fault men fell. Yes He planned for it, but He didn't make Adam disobey. It's called compatibilism. Men do evil with out God forcing them to, yet God's plan does not fail. Common example is Joseph being sold into slavery (Gen 37+)

There is also reason to believe that there weren't carnivores until after the flood, because it isn't until after that God allows the eating of animals. In addition, the preflood world was very different than the word we live in today. A man by the name Ian Juby has some videos about it somewhere on the internet along with other info.

The blood of Jesus covered him because of his faith. Noah was considered righteous because He had faith in God. Hebrews 11 talks about it some. It's why he was spared. I can say that God only does good because He sets the standard of good. Again, you ignore where the Bible says that God upholds Justice. Men are evil, that is why He can kill them justly and still be good. We don't deserve any less than His wrath. That is what Justice is, getting what you deserve. We all deserve His wrath, so when He pours it out, He is being Just.

@factsism11 Why are families going to be divided? Because, at that time, believers' family members would turn them over to Rome and maybe the Jews for the faith in Jesus. They were in turn killed in horrible ways. That doesn't show that God is evil, but that men are.

The bible also says that a Good tree CAN NOT bare bad fruit and a bad tree CAN NOT bare good fruit. Is that true too?

That make absolutely no sense. If you knew anything about what Rome teaches and the Bible for that matter, you would see that they don't line up. Luther's soteriology does. The righteous live by faith, not works.

@factsism11 Evil is the absence of good as darkness is the absence of light. Bible says in John 1 and 1 John that God is light and in Him there is NO darkness. Is that true? God does not make anyone do evil, they are evil on their own.

@factsism11 God stopped some people from doing wrong and didn't stop others for His purposes. God restrains the evil in people. If He doesn't people do what they desire, which is evil. It's a very evil thing to kill the Son of God. Yet God intended it to happen in order to redeem His people. God used the evil desire of men to serve His purpose. But He did not force them to do it, they chose to on their own. By removing His restraint It hardens them because the become who they are, God haters

The Bible is very clear that God is the only thing that is good and righteous. Jesus says that no one is good but One [God]. 1 John says that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. That means that everything He does is good and just and righteous and holy.
