As a Ferrari technician i have driven almost all of the cars built. The 430 Scuderia is without doubt my all time fave car to drive, all the technology on it is awesome. The many F40s i have been fortunate enough to drive conjure up a motoring experience unparalleled by any other Ferrari/car. I personally put this down to the rawness of the cabin, rocket like acceleration on boost and sheer seat of the pants exhilaration.

Glad the consensus here is that the F40 is the epitome of supercars. It's everything a supercar should be. Many have tried over the years but only a few have got it right. The Miura was the first supercar, but the Ferrari is THE single greatest supercar. Nothing else comes close to those two vehicles in my humble opinion.

I think the F40 embodies the total driving experience.

That classic, hard supercar look. And while it falls short of the current specs, I think the F40 will give you a much more sensational driving experience than any other street production car out there.

I'll take an F40 over a Veyron, or a Zonda any day. ...But that's just me.

Its a incredible piece of machine. Last ride commisioned by enzo before its death.. and he predicted that way. This supposed to be the ultimate Ferrari by enzo.. and it its. F50 and the Enzo Ferrari are incredible cars.. but the F40 has the true rampant horse heart! I just love this car so much.

Yes the ZR1 is great now but remember that this F40 weighs 2400lbs, 850lbs less than a ZR1. This F40 and the ZR1 have the same power to weight ratio. Compare this F40 with 'Vettes from 1987.

Caterhams are hard & focused but don't quite look the part. The Mclaren F1 was too polished.

The F40 was and is, in my opinion, the most purposeful supercar ever conceived.

And in THAT sense - it is beautiful.
